Am I correct that the other victims were 5 lads travelling in one car the wrong way up the motorway? EXACTLY the same as the 5 Irish lads who died a few days ago travelling the wrong way up a motorway too? Surely not twice in a week? Is there some sort of mental social media thing going on, telling kids to drive up the wrong way? Like a dare? Just cannot believe it happened once, let alone twice. Just devastating.

somethimg needs doing with the unruly teens.social media needs heavily curtailing its being used to disrupt our youth. Today I was walking over Dartmoor and some young people had music blaring out as they walked, so respect for anyone else.

We need to start ensuring strict disciple in schools, societal expectations parents will back up schools and the police. There’s plenty of good kids around with tough upbringings.

My DH is a police officer, I can’t imagine getting that knock on the door in the middle of the night (although I think about it). Increasingly DH is finding younger and younger kids acting appallingly - nearly always encouraged or facilitated by SM

Most teenagers wouldn’t see this on social media then actually go out and copy. These idiots no doubt have a history of antisocial behaviour and would have done allsorts of stupid stuff with or without Tik tok.

Police chase on small road recorded minutes before the crash. There is speculation they were not driving on the wrong side.

Imo driving wrong way is attempted murder and obviously murder if they kill others.
I think most shocking is they are so stupid less than a week after the other crash.

re tic toc i think it needs at least a temporary ban. It is encouraging criminal behaviour and giving a platform to encourage others.
especially as there is suggestions re the wildfires too!

i also think the reality of ‘bad actors’ so people inciting things, people who run these apps are not necessarily on the side of average uk public.
and no different to incitement to terror etc.

But also the choice of the criminal justice to not imprison some minor offences is leading to escalation.

and possible the attempts to be kind not blame kids, adopted, difficult home life etc etc.

Anyone who engages in this behaviour and uploads the content online should be tracked down and arrested.

Tik tok is a Chinese app which is banned in China, India and other countries. I think it's time to ban it everywhere. It's malicious.

I thought that. I hope they've managed to bring them in from a different division so they didn't personally know the two officers.

I just saw on fb that a relative has put up a post about her 17 year old nephew who was in the car. A picture of him with angel wings on saying how sad it is that he died. Deluded family thinking hes going to heaven. Straight to hell for the scumbags that stole the car and killed 2 police men.

I'd agree if I didn't know that some other tech machine-for-fucking-us-all-up wouldn't immediately take its place.

It feels like a sci fi/zombie film where the audience can see that a parasite is going to kill the host but the host is just yeah whatever.

The government need to give ticktock a choice - either rid their app of risky car chase clips or remove the app completely so it does not serve uk public in any shape or form.

That was the chase that was called off when they went the wrong way down the A road.

It has been confirmed that those in the Passat were driving on the wrong side of the carriageway. The police car that they hit was not involved in the earlier chase, they were sadly in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ban the app - agreed! No social conscious means no access to uk public

Or better still, prison sentences for ticktock directors refusing to withdraw dangerous driving clips from the app

Down south there was a case where 2 youfs died in a head on collision and because their car was loaded with nitrous oxide cartridges which exploded, they were immolated. First response from the community crowd fund for a mosque in their memory. Luckily, nobody could pull the wool over the coroner's eyes.

I didn’t think of it from this perspective. I hope they get the support they need whilst they act proportionately and respectfully like they’ve been trained to do. A poison chalice if ever there was one 🥺

Complete with huge blown up pictures outside the church, of the deceased scumbag (nearly the same size as Father Dougals Bishop Brennan photos), loads of white flowers, a gold painted coffin and a huge screen showing a montage of photos of him with his so called loving family!! Oh and the Garda public order unit as they are known for kicking off in graveyards and driving illegal scramblers and doing wheelies etc. at these funerals. Instead of having a nice quiet dignified funeral, as you’d think they would have some shame and donating some of that money to the poor family they nearly murdered in the crash!
