AIBU to think if we need to politely ask men not to rape women (or men), then we don't want such people in the UK?

Don't rape, sexually assault or make kissing noises' at people, asylum seekers warned in guidance about living in UK
UK arrivals have been told to treat women equally, not sexually assault partners or have sex with children in a new Home Office pamphlet. As well as the guidebook, a series of posters have also been designed by the government.

@Londonmummy66 'm happy to have lots of women move here if we could have no men.

I agree with giving women a massive priority over men, because it is so extremely rare for women to commit violent or dangerous crimes.

Though when I put this forward on the Guardian, my comment was promptly deleted. The Guardian believes we should be prioritising the men who arrive on small boats across the channel, instead of women.

Agree with you @shuggles

Shocked the guardian deleted your comment. Not really.

Some of these stats are really concerning.

”In 2023, there were 761 gang-rapes registered in Germany — almost two per day; 47.5 per cent of the suspects were foreigners.”

That’s shocking. I mean, how do you explain or excuse that? I’m sure someone would say the majority (52.5%) are German 🙄

We know how they behave towards women in some other countries. See Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia Etc.

Women are treated disgustingly. We shouldn't have to tell any man to not touch a woman without their consent. We have enough here alone, don't need more rapey eejits ugh.

And I mean any man. I honestly despair of them sometimes.

Imagine having to tell someone not to behave like a rapist ugh.

Again, Turkish people are not asylum seekers.
It's a very muddled thread.
Or I am muddled, maybe.

It's one thing to say you are wary of undocumented men seeking asylum.Fine. It's another thing to then provide stats to show another group of men- not asylum seekers- are allegedly committing crimes. And then conflate the two. If you want to throw out all non-Western immigrants, the economy will collapse.

People are going to have to make better arguments.

IwouldlikeanewTV · 19/08/2026 22:34

Why are we allowing undocumented men into the U.K. from countries where 99% of British women would not want to live or travel. Where we would be stoned to death for not covering our hair, where it’s normal to have period huts, where girls once menstruating are considered fair game and can be married? Just does not make sense to me. I remember going to Istanbul when I was 14 and being physically groped as I walked around the market. Who wants that here?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 19/08/2026 22:34

A booklet is an excellent way to teach newcomers about how they should not rape women. They forgot to include men specifically elderly men dragged behind the church grounds.
It is pathetic.
To add insult to injury, you “could” receive a prison sentence,
In the meantime sexual assaulting people will continue.
Reading about delivery driver’s sexual assaulting children, exposing themselves, hassling the young women who they deliver food too. The hardest part is training yourself not to randomly say hello to people, as some think it means that you want to have sex with them now.
I had to collect DD late last Saturday locally. I hopped on the tram, a man let me go in front of him, I smiled said thank you, of course he assumed I meant sit beside me on the empty tram, try talking to me. I was so fired up about it, he knew he sat beside the wrong woman, as this is the reason DD can’t get the tram home alone. I had deep heat spray and a sharp key ring in my handbag. I would have battered him if he followed me. 🫣

Some basic data from the MoJ

'Data from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), obtained by the the Centre for Migration Control think tank under freedom of information laws, has revealed that 26% of 1,453 sex assault convictions on women last year were foreign nationals.
Indian nationals accounted for the highest number in foreign national convictions in 2024, with 38.
Romanians nationals were second with 27 assault, joint with Polish nationals also on 27.
Pakistani nationals accounted for 20 sexual assault conviction while 19 Afghan nationals were convicted.

While accounting for 26% of sexual assault convictions last year, foreign nationals make up 10.9% of the population.
More than a fifth of all rape convictions last year were also foreign nationals.
They made up 155 of the 720 convictions for “rape of a female aged 16 or over”, with a further 42 convictions being an “unknown” nationality.'

There are examples in the news every day. And yes before you say but british men rape too, yes we know. We don't need more.

These statistics don't give the whole picture though. Suppose for example that a higher proportion of cases involving a foreign national result in a conviction. That could be due to juror bias or inherent unfairnesses in our legal system. A more helpful statistic might be the proportion of foreign nationals prosecuted for rape rather than convicted - although even that figure won't necessarily paint an entirely accurate picture.
Either way, surely it's better to remind people moving to the UK what our laws are. With the threat of deportation if they break those laws.

Does per capita representation not mean anything to you

It's a shame to see how the west has fallen

I find it quite devastating, I often don't post on these threads because it's just too depressing. You can see it all around you. So really, I should use my Internet time for better things.

Where would let's say a German rather have their daughter go on holiday? A trip to London to see the culture and sites? Or a trip to Mogadishu?

Also we can take immigration we "need" from EU,eea, Switzerland and CANZUK + USA

Few people from the EU or the countries you mention want to come to the UK. Why would they? Their own countries are doing better. Poland is one of the top ten destinations for UK immigrants.

Quite a few apparently. Crazy ‘be kind’ times we live in.

What also gets overlooked is that how is it remotely fair poaching doctors and nurses from less well-off countries, after the taxpayers of those countries have funded their training? We need to train our own.

I don't have any problem with international students, as long as it's reputable unis and not visa factory type places. I don't have a problem with them applying for work visas if they meet the criteria.
If they finish their degree and apply for asylum though, they should be laughed onto the nearest plane.

You won't need to worry very soon as reputable unis are already collapsing.

Also maybe they need to hand out these leaflets in schools too. Teach the boys here too! In fact give them to any man.

Secondary schools have PHSE lessons that cover this type of thing. For example Andrew Tate and his gang are often discussed in those classes. The goverment education department were very proactive regarding Tate at his peek in the UK. Schools will all teach stuff and discuss stuff differently but most type to do a good job when it comes to important topics like this. My own school not only have PHSE lessons but during form time group discussions on sensitive but important subjects often happen.

The big issue here with doctors is that the accomplished and experienced doctors in say India want to come here as they see our rates of pay as attractive compared to theirs. SO they apply for jobs well below their actual pay grade and their experience means our own trained doctors cant get the jobs they need to qualify/get experience etc SO they go to Australia.

EmeraldRoulette · 19/08/2026 22:45

@Octavia64 "as a country, we can just stop immigration. But there would be a massive, massive impact on our universities, our hospitals, our life generally."

I might have missed it, but I don't think anyone on this thread has argued for completely stopping immigration.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 19/08/2026 22:46

The difference is our culture knows that rape is wrong. That we should respect women and ask about consent. Yes, there are perverts who don’t care about the impact and will sexually assault women, however the majority of parents in European culture do their upmost duty to teach their children how to speak up if it happens to them and tell our boys how wrong it is, we don’t normalise rape or sexual abuse or marrying children, we strongly condemn this behaviour.
It is normalised in many cultures.
A right, something that happens daily on the street, mixing these two cultures together is a recipe for disaster, women are there for the taking.

Wait for the sea of ‘but white British men rape you anyway’ as some sort of excuse as to justify letting men in from misogynistic cultures and from countries no woman would go anywhere near. Every thread.

Edited

Was just thinking this. As women we are lucky to live in a society where rape, beatings, killings, no education & no employment are a not commonly a part of our lives.

JHound · 19/08/2026 22:52

Octavia64 · 19/08/2026 20:33

The age of consent is different in different countries.

in Islam, like in the U.K. up until the 1990s rape within marriage is not a thing.

understanding the laws of the country you are in is important.

plenty of British people assume the law elsewhere is the same as the U.K. and come a cropper.

In Dubai all sex outside marriage is illegal but the authorities largely turn a blind eye. This British person was arrested and jailed however

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq8zdvzj5vwo

No actually you can have sex outside of marriage in Dubai if 18 and over. It used to be illegal but I guess the number of foreigners meant they had to make an age of consent law (instead of solely minimum age of marriage.)

JustanotherManikMumday · 19/08/2026 22:53

Don't forget don't physically assault, murder, steal from etc. I mean if we are not totally clear on every law it will be the excuse they did not know.
