By which I mean, would most voters support this as opposed to a change in policy to refuse in greater numbers? I honestly can't tell what "the majority" actually wants. I would prefer fewer having seen how things went in Germany thanks to the Merkel wave but I am willing to believe I'm a backwards old boomer and a majority would be more welcoming.

They (UK governments) tend to say they have no choice due to the echr but this isn't true. There are a lot of operational choices they could make (eg sometimes when people are denied entry at the border they are actually allowed into the country for a few days and instructed to report back to the airport when it's time for the removal flight).

There is, and for a long time has been a "bigger picture" and an end game to this. I reckon it all began with this man, Peter Sutherland who is since deceased. Read the article and it might make what is happening a bit clearer. Look at the date too. Sutherland not only was the UN chief of Migration, he was also a leader of the WEF and met like minded folk at Davos a lot. I am convinced anyway that it all led from this. The men who are "fleeing for their lives" leave the women and children behind because the journey is apparently more dangerous than staying where you are.

So many white people have bought into the idea that we need to be punished for our ancestors misdeeds.
