Count down to Bin Day!

Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

Radio 4 You and Yours currently on the topic of the cost of 99 flakes. 🍦

Thanks @hedgeknight that is so funny!

Documentary on C5 on the 22nd which delves into NF's finances. Might be interesting.

ETA he seems Teflon, but he's using the Trump playbook and is nowhere near as fireproof, IMO.

There is an article about the man behind binface on The Times online should you wish to purchase it. He is less appealing to me as a man weirdly, but I stil think he comes across well

It added that a LTEN had been submitted on a precautionary basis, but no reliance had been placed on it, as the party said it had not been necessary.

Pity some of them aren't so assiduous in declaring large financial gifts, mind you that paperwork tends to be late too.

And this tidbit

The "Farage Fest" application was refused because it was made after this deadline.
People from the Clacton constituency who supported Farage in the by-election by displaying posters and placards received letters inviting them to the event.
They had to pay an entry fee, but could camp and park onsite for free.

I can’t believe he made them pay…

But then again, yes I can.

Yeah. " I'm going to avoid the Count at the Count and throw myself a bigly party and YOU, minion voters, can pay for it".

I wonder if the Farage Fest counts as an election expense?

They must have forked out a fair bit on the party, and if it was offered as a reward surely it does? Maybe they were hoping that if people paid to attend it wouldn’t be eligible.

It was a free bar, much to my surprise. I imagine the ticket price reflected that though.

Stand and deliver!

Just seen this.

Can it really be two weeks since the election?

Here we are, plunged elbow-deep in more investigations, when we could be looking forward to Binface being sworn in.

The reviews are in! Mostly behind a paywall.

Bonus content of this link is the ‘best joke of the fringe’. I like 6 and 10.

My very first thought on hearing Keir had resigned as an MP 😂

PS I miss the laugh emoji

HeHasMyVote · 01/09/2026 20:27

Noooooooooooo! We need him to hold off in case he’s required here again in the near future 😂

If I was a betting woman, I think he might keep his powder dry until the next Clacton by election, which hopefully is on the cards soon.

Whatever, more Binny is always good

HeHasMyVote · 01/09/2026 20:33

That’s been my thought too - fingers crossed.

MyKittyKatty · 01/09/2026 21:39

Will the count be trying his luck at Holborn and St Pancras ? Or will he be running scared of the Greens' Mr Hypnotitty ?

Darker · 02/09/2026 06:45

What makes you think CB would be scared of losing to any of the other candidates? He is a comedian, not an aspiring MP.

He is also a useful ‘none of the above’ option for voters who don’t feel that any of the candidates deserve their vote, and don’t want to spoil their ballot or not vote.

Will Reform be running scared of the police?

Darker · Today 08:20

Listening to Richard Tice on R4 this morning. He sounds very rattled.
