Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

Maybe they are all in a pothole…

More generous than many other countries- why do you think they risk their lives to get here?

As a person who managed care services for 24 years I can tell you that you are woefully misinformed on both how care work is staffed, the rules around bringing in dependents, the total reliance on immigrants to look after our older and other vulnerable people (and given that, how would it be correct to say they can can come but not with their families-you realise we need these people yes?), and ‘the luxury of 24 hour care’ we give people in this country ‘as standard’.

God help you if you get old or need help from social care or the NHS is all I can say. You had better hope your mate Nigel hasn’t ’sorted out immigration’ by then. Or at least not without a solid plan for social care and the NHS-which I haven’t yet heard from Reform-has if even been mentioned apart from them mooting some sort of American style insurance system (has he got any mates that that might benefit I wonder?).

From my observation you now spend your time lecturing British people on how what being British should look like – in your not-so-humble opinion.

There isn't any other country I feel I have more rights to say "we" about. You're right though, sometimes I say we and sometimes I say they, identity is complicated, this is one area where I agree with the diversity is our strength types.

I'm not asking where you're from, but I have white South African family and I get the same vibe from you of an intense sense of entitlement to all things pertaining to the mother country, despite them being literally foreigners.

They also have a very strong fairytale notion of what Britain should be.

They tend to undergo a hefty readjustment when they actually come here and discover it's not the-fantasy-theme-park-Britain that lives in their imagination.

Same as most of the rest of us then - we are mostly all 'stuck' with the representative elected at the last general election. Why should Clacton be any different?

About 0.7% of the global population are refugees living outside their country of origin (if you include internally displaced people it's about 1.4% of the world population). Refugees and asylum seekers (waiting for their claims to be processed) make up 0.7% of the UK population. So we are exactly average for the world. Compared to say Jordan who have about 30% of their population being refugees from Syria.

The point really being, I am not in favour of open borders, and if course we can't "take everyone" but frankly no-one is demanding we take everyone and neither is 0.7% of the population (much less if you just count people coming by small boat) an invasion or being swamped. If we wanted the overall number of refugees from the Middle East we could perhaps refrain from bombing them and Farage could ask his best mate ask Mr Trump very nicely if him and Israel would stop bombing there too. But weirdly that's never put forward as an option by Farage and Trump supporters.

No. He made a complete mockery of the system. Aided and abetted by the main parties who refused to put forward a candidate. Everything is being done to discredit Nigel Farage. Media too is on board. This can backfire as it did with Trump.

The other parties are not Farage’s puppets. This was a vanity project to stop the investigation into him hiding five million quid - the man is bought and gift wrapped for crapto billionaires - he’s nothing more than a Temu Trump.

I think what a lot of the naysayers miss is that Count Binface really, really supports democracy. I've read that he considers every single vote cast for him an honour.

He's a satirist and a Classicist and will be very much aware of the satyr play (the very origin of satire) that closed the great Greek tragedies and pricked the minds of the audience.

All a bit too complex for Nige I imagine.
