There is a lot of hate towards TR on many of these threads. Im interested to know what of his opinions etc that people are so outraged by? And please no ‘he’s a bigot’ ‘he’s a facist’ just pure and simple he says x and I think he’s wrong for y reason

This is really interesting. I loathe the TRA call to arms tactics. Off to read more about TR. Thanks @Persephonia1966 . Its just hard to know what to read and watch to get to the truth because a lot of it is BS. I did watch an interview with him and KJK and I thought he seemed really reasonable. I will do more research. Cheers for this.

No problem. There are people I completely disagree with politically like Anne Widicombe but had a lot of respect for the way she handled herself as a politician. It's not only that I like JKR because I agree with her. But she acts like a decent person IMO.

NotAnotherScarf · 03/08/2026 07:24

He doesn't say racist things though. Watch every single interview and he doesn't say anything racist. He may well be, but he never ever says anything racist...and calling him that hides the truth.

He doesn't like some elements of the Muslim faith and its impact on British/European culture.

Whether you agree with him or not, you are completely missing the point of his argument...that the Muslim faith is inherently bad.

The fact that there is something about him that I feel is off. The fact that he encourages a violent response to Muslims. The fact that he is a convicted criminal and doesn't have the intelligence to follow court orders should not be overshadowed by the mistaken view he makes racist statements.

This is exactly my point - no one ever says he’s a racist because he said xyz on this date - it’s just general hate noise, im really interested in specifics

By doing and saying what?

People have already given examples on this thread.

As the old proverb goes, there's none so blind as those who will not see.

Hoops123 · 03/08/2026 11:33

As I said in my original post - why? I see so many people saying he’s a twat, he’s a facist etc, but not any reason why… makes me wonder if many are just on left hate band wagon but actually have no facts or insights. So im really interested in what EXACTLY he said and why it’s wrong and facist. Most of the commenters here have not been able to do that. Reason im interested in this, theres a programme about his treatment in prison ie solidarity confinement so got me curious

You have been given numerous examples, we’re not here to explain those examples to you if you don’t understand why they make him a twat.

But he might have approached that centre and they ignored him? We don't know that. And he wrote what he wrote. One could argue he is standing up for white women who are being abused - which is a good thing no? Maybe his intention was good - to stand up for women and girls, especially those affected by grooming gangs.

Does he incite violence and division or is he fighting to keep women and girls safe? I dont know the answer to that (I admit I dont know much about him) Im just saying that maybe it depends on the way you look at it.

I will compare - again with JKR. She has been accused repeatedly of inciting hatred towards transpeople. I dont believe that to be true at all and believe her motivation is entirely to fight for the injustices against women and girls. Maybe TR is the same.

Id like to see more evidence to the contrary?

Have you seen the number of fascist thugs 'protesting' who have domestic violence charges?

Having had to misfortune to walk through Glasgow last weekend as a white woman with my 2 white children the only thing I could see to fear was the masked thugs throwing their weight around with their chests out and flags round their shoulders

Ive met plenty in my job (Social Worker). Ive read and studied loads about it.

It is not a peaceful religion. People don't have to be physically violent to be violent. People who follow the muslim religion think women are less than, and worthless. I dont care how peaceful they pretend to be, I cant support anyone who believes that. I wish people would follow Ayann Hirsi Ali's work (ex-muslim). She wrote the amazing book 'Infdel'. Its an incredibly dangerous religion.

If you've met Muslims as a social worker surely that includes colleagues? I'm a social worker and have worked with male and female Muslim social workers who are very kind, compassionate, non-judgemental people who champion women's rights. Surely if you really are a social worker you must have witnessed that abuse and oppression of women happens across all cultures? Most of the cases I've worked have been white British people.

Specifically he's a convicted rapist and will shortly be a convicted human trafiicker as well- why would you be interested in such a person's opinions?

Hoops123 · 03/08/2026 11:46

Did he say these exact things?

That's defamation you know. He is NOT convicted rapist.

I have and the only things I can see are no way the same as what people generally say on places like Mumsnet… ie somone commented and said he’s a convicted rapist… he’s not

Then google what crimes he’s been convicted of then, assault, libel, mortgage and passport fraud, stalking, those are off the top of my head

SleeplessInWherever · 03/08/2026 12:01

Was he protecting women and girls when he stalked Lizzie Dearden?

He isn't a convicted rapist. Are you thinking of the Irish MLM guy? He was (or adjudicated because the police dropped the case for no reason which they later apologised for and he was found guilty in a civil court). But either way a proven violent rapist. SYL isn't although some of his associates have cases pending.

He isn't, but he does have a conviction for assaulting a police officer who intervened when Robinson - or Yaxley-Lennon, to use his real name - was being violent towards his own partner. He also has a criminal record for other offences.

I have also, with my own eyes, seen him sexually harass women and girls on social media, including an underage child who he called 'pretty fit, for a Muslim'.

This is one of the many reasons I roll my eyes when he and his supporters claim they're trying to protect women and girls. A hugely high proportion of his followers who are arrested at protests have prior convictions for domestic violence, and I have also - again, with my own eyes - seen them harass and abuse women at their 'protests' time and time again. Yaxley-Lennon never condemns that and welcomes these people with open arms.

That poster is thinking of Andrew Tate, not Tommy Robinson.

Two cheeks of the same arse, to be fair.

Oh that makes more sense..I thought she meant Conor McGregor!

OnlyUsername · 03/08/2026 12:13

I know someone else has quoted it but how can you read this and not see that it is hate speech and a threat to all Muslims; not the actual perpetrators of the crime.

"Every single Muslim watching this... on 7/7 you got away with killing and maiming British citizens... you had better understand that we have built a network from one end of the country to the other end... and the Islamic community will feel the full force of the English Defence League if we see any of our British citizens killed, maimed, or hurt on British soil ever again."

He also said no journalist is safe in their home or at work (from him) and retweeted "‘National Socialism is the alternative to degeneracy we currently face. It is a pathway to freedom and prosperity. It is an escape from Jewish Tyranny. It is the Future of our people."

I mean what more do you need?!

Whatafustercluck · 03/08/2026 12:13

Well, there is the fact that he blamed 'every single muslim' after the 7/7 attacks. Do you agree with that, op - that every single muslim was to blame?

Then there's his assault of a police officer.

Football hooliganism.

Further assault.

Mortgage fraud.

False allegations about a Syrian refugee who was assaulted at school.

Repeatedly propping up the cocaine industry, and all the harm associated with it.

Harassment of a journalist (stalking protection order).

I know I'm a bit choosey, but he doesn't sound like the sort of person I'd want to be friends with, let alone whose political views I'd support.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 03/08/2026 12:13

I have no interest in the views of a repeat violent offender.

Mymyi · 03/08/2026 12:15

BigYellowBus · 03/08/2026 11:59

Have you seen the documentary he made about this? The one he's not allowed to show.

GCAcademic · 03/08/2026 12:16

The only reason he and his supporters want to "protect women and girls" is because they believe females are their property and only white British men should be allowed to abuse them.
