AIBU to think Netflix has gone downhill lately?

Is it just me or has Netflix gone right down hill? Not seen anything on there I fancy watching for months. Dont know why we bother keeping it! It’s all foreign dubbed films and crime documentaries

I'm a rotator too, although Disney is always on, as I have the annual package and I have Amazon Prime for the deliveries. I haven't had Netflix for quite a while now as there hasn't really been enough to make me want to restart the subscription.

There are so many subscription services now though, which is annoying as there is probably just 1-2 shows on each I want to watch.

A show was recommended to me on Netflix, it was a show based in Martinique, so right up my street. But it was over-dubbed with American accents. Totally spoiled it, so I didn't get pass the first episode

We kept it for the kids, as I found it to be flooded with American true crime shows and sitcoms that weren't remotely watchable. but as more and more dopamine crap and awful cartoons have come on I’ve recently cancelled it completely.

Yeah, i agree. I cancelled our subscription last month.

I think its been great lately but all I watch is crime documentaries so if that isn't your thing then yes

I just watched Legends which was OK. First thing I’ve watched on Netflix for ages but I get it free with EE. I wish they’d give me something else. I think Disney+ is worth having

Maybe the novelty of binge watching is wearing off and the endless crime / detective bollox -we’re all getting jaded

How do you find the full library then? I just use the drop down menus.

I've found the selection of you're on the cheapest and based subscription absolutely terrible. If you want to pay for no ads there's a lot more choice.
However I haven't had Netflix for awhile, I cancelled my subscription to change the direct debit date but never re subscribed.

I know lots of people won’t like it but the BBC is far superior imo. Ann Droid was worth the licence fee alone

I think they have shot themselves in the foot with the algorithm. DH and I have very different tastes in TV and what he sees and what I see on our separate profiles is entirely different so I know there is loads of stuff on there that I just don't even see. Yes, I could search for it but you don't always know it even exists and sometimes you might spot something as you scroll that you fancy watching.

Not sure why people are moaning about dubbed programmes; you can choose whether it’s dubbed, subtitled or whatever… you’re not stuck with it.

I switch up the subscription services but I did think the other day when scrolling through Netflix that how have we gone back to adverts & added a monthly fee!

Legends is about undercover customs agents in the early 90s (?) busting big drugs deals. Lead by Steve Coogan, good cast

Netflix has the same content regardless of tier.

I think the trouble with a lot of subscriptions is the quantity over quality model. There used to be some excellent crime docs but now they churn out anything.

Yup! I spent ages last night looking for something and it’s all rubbish on there! Probably going to cancel it again (only have the ads version which is terrible in itself as there are now loads!).

I also cancelled Disney as there’s nothing on there either. Subscribed to watch Rivals but gave up after the first few episodes as it was so bad!
