Has anyone else been banned from Amazon?

I live abroad and very often packages don’t get delivered (it’s the main gripe on the neighbourhood Whatsapp, with neighbours posting if anyone has their package)
Ive contacted Amazon each time and they’ve issued refunds-parcels never turned up.
I received an email last week saying that i’m not allowed to make purchases anymore as there has been over the maximum amount of refunds. and this matter has been dealt with, each time ive tried messaging, the same reply comes back.

It’s very frustrating as is not my fault

I’m just worried about Christmas as it’s difficult to find the toys here for my Dd

Has anyone ever had this?

When Amazon delivers, you usually get a picture of where the item has been left. Are you not getting that?

Supersimkin7 · 30/07/2026 18:24

I kept getting my next online parcels nicked.

It was mortifying having to ring them up again & again -I thought they’d be convinced I was on the rob.

Turns out a cluster of neighbours had complained too - innocence proved. Retailers have knowledge you don’t, OP.

If it did have my address would they not allow?

Of course they wouldn’t. It’s your address that is the problem. Why do you want to have them continuing to deliver there when you don’t receive half the stuff anyway?

It’s annoying but I see their point, they can’t keep refunding you.

DontTeaseMyDog · 30/07/2026 18:34

I order sooo much from amazon. They have never given me an issue for a refund - high value items get given a code. I stopped ordering from other places or places that use certain services because they wasnt delivering correctly - such as evri.

I don't understand why you would have such a high level of missing parcels and still continue to think, hey yeah, this time will be different, lets go spend it again.

I'd ban your scamming arse too 😂

Soonbbbqweather · 30/07/2026 18:38

My elderly mother can only order kindle books for a similar reason. I suspect it’s because a relative abused her account and when I found out and reported the relative to the police a large number of items were returned! I now have to order and pay for DM’s items via my account and she transfers the money to me.

kkloo · 30/07/2026 18:44

But if you do order from them again and the next delivery doesn't show then what?

Amazon is not the only mail order company!
And if deliveries were a problem even when you were allowed to use Amazon, being unbanned from Amazon isn't going to solve it.
Maybe order from elsewhere and get the packages delivered by the postal service? A little more expensive, but a lot more reliable.

Dixie81 · 30/07/2026 18:56

This is a growing issue with Amazon and various consumer rights groups have challenged them about it but it’s getting worse, not better. Although I’ve never had any issues, I stopped buying anything high-value from them years ago, once this habit of banning people became known. Also things like clothes, shoes or anything that is likely to need returned due to sizing issues etc. I buy all that elsewhere. I’ve seen people banned for even one delivery gone wrong, usually an electronic item that has been stolen by staff somewhere along the line and has been replaced with some cheap rubbish.

Amazon are huge and their main profits are in web services, not online shopping, so they couldn’t care less about losing customers. Spend your money with retailers who appreciate your patronage. There are plenty of other online retailers along with things like eBay and Etsy so it should be possible to get what you need elsewhere. There’s no way I’d be begging any business to allow me to give them my money!

Aluna · 30/07/2026 19:07

Is the answer not to always have the parcels delivered to a pick up point?

I’d think it’s possible a new account under your DH’s name/email might work, but unless you change your MO - ie only order to pick up point, you will end up banned again anyway.

I've lived in remote places that delivery drivers either couldn't find or couldn't be arsed to get to. I just got Amazon parcels delivered to the Post Office, and would collect them weekly. Why haven't you done that, OP?

TourdeCrema · 30/07/2026 19:19

if stuff isn't being delivered then cold you have ordered to a pick up point?

I had two items mysteriously not get delivered - worth about £200 together

so I reordered but had them delivered to a post office - not a drop box - so that they had to be handed to me by a human

Edenmum2 · 30/07/2026 19:20

Iceberglettuceisthecrunchiest · 29/07/2026 13:53

So basically just set up a new account with a different name and email but use the same card & address? Worried they’d check that

Well what could they do anyway? They’d just refuse it, but you might as well try

Imsorrybut · 30/07/2026 19:45

Not Amazon but I've had to start ordering things to go to a shop round the corner because of parcels being stolen or hugely delayed by Evri. Shoes is a huge target by Evri in my area (I've had 3 pairs stolen, and one ripped open and left inside my bin!)
I digress, I've started buying shoes from Amazon because they actually get delivered but this thread is making me question doing it.

I didn't know Amazon really banned people! OP I doubt they'll have enough human involvement to connect a new account to your current one so just start again!
But as a side note, could you not get someone else to order your Christmas stuff? Preferably someone with a decent delivery record. Or order it to someone else's address if you do set up a new account.

momtoboys · 30/07/2026 19:58

No, but my sister was banned from there a few years ago.

Vitany · 30/07/2026 20:02

It happens to lots of people you can try to reinstate your account by emailing various special email addresses such as the bezos one. You can look them up online and get chat gtp to write you the emails. Keep persisting. Once they reinstate you try to order to get stuff delivered in a delivery service of some sort (like a po box) so you don't risk losing more packages.

I stopped using retailers who use EVRI too. There were so many issues - parcels disappearing, delivered to the wrong address, delivery windows not being met. M&S parcels seemed to be particularly vulnerable to going missing. I have a blink doorbell and the final straw was when I got a message from the courier to say the delivery had been left in the porch - nothing there and when I checked the blink footage no-one had been near. Customer services were a dead loss too - didn’t seem to care.

What I will say is that on checking my doorbell footage one time, it had caught an Amazon delivery to the house directly opposite us - the driver put the parcel down on the path, photographed it, then picked it up and took it back to the van and drove off !!

I can’t believe how stupid people can be by thinking someone is making a massive loss on you and think that’s ok and just believe what you say when something’s not delivered.

If you live in a high crime area, you know damn well you have a high chance of the parcel being stolen and you being blamed.

Therefore, it’s up to you to have the deliveries sent to a locker, or shop, or post office, or workplace, or to a family or friend who is always at home. Amazon give you lots of choices, whatever country you live in.

It’s the same jargon with people who order stuff and send it back for trivial reasons. There’s no excuse now with online shopping, they give you extensive measurements, they show tons of pictures with close-ups, videos, reviews, the lot. There should be absolute no reason you send stuff back, unless something broke in delivery.

Some people’s entitlement is off the scale.

When I have a delivery, they provide real-time tracking and I’m literally racing to where they left it like Usain Bolt within seconds so it isn’t stolen.

AnonyMumAuDHD · 30/07/2026 20:23

Can understand why this is the case because clearly there is some reason why your address is not being found by delivery agents (flats? Remote location?)

After the first load of reclaims, I would have explored delivery locations before it reached the stage of being banned - amazon lockers, and at amazon pick up counters at supermarkets? Do they do that in the country/town where you live? And if so, could you not delete the record of your old account and set up a new one (new email etc) and try getting a delivery to one of those?

PrettyLittleRose · 30/07/2026 20:33

@Iceberglettuceisthecrunchiest

Well it's annoying for you of course, but you can hardly blame them for banning you if so much stuff goes 'missing.' The onus is/was on YOU to be there to accept the parcels, or get someone else to accept them, or allocate a safe place.

I don't blame them for banning you. I mean, what did you expect?!

Why on earth would you want to keep using them if their packages keep going missing so often anyway? Has anyone else in your street been banned from Amazon?!

PrettyLittleRose · 30/07/2026 20:45

There's loads more places that you can get stuff @Iceberglettuceisthecrunchiest but what happens when all your stuff/parcels go missing with them?!
