I've never liked Matt edmonson since he released a board game called Karen and then doubled down on his misogyny when a woman called Karen questioned it. It massively put me off him and Molly, there's less and less of radio one I can actually tolerate!

And I don't want to see tiktokers or influencers on the radio. I enjoyed them as tiktokers but I never find they translate well to radio.

Was literally just discussing this with radio colleagues. 15-29 years olds don't listen to the radio!!! And the BBC has completely lost it's way with presenters.

Mylo and Rosie aren’t influencers. Mylo has been DJing since he was a kid and they held the West Yorkshire breakfast show for years until hits radio got rid of all the local radio shows (boo!). They have won awards for the best radio breakfast show so glad Radio one are taking a punt on them.

I struggle to listen to radio one, music not my taste and I can’t be doing with vernon or Sarah cox over on radio 2. I tried Jordan north and his crew but ugh they are so up their own it’s painful to listen to!! I now mainly listen to podcasts and Apple Music, sometimes kisstory but they play ‘bills’ by Destiny’s child on repeat…! That becomes tiresome!

I am gutted Ricky & Melvin are leaving. They are my favourite two out of the trio.
I am thoroughly pissed off Charley Marlowe is joining. I have switched off when she’s been been covering (clearly doing test runs). She just does my head in.
Im pissed off Nat is leaving. I liked Nat & Vic.
I think Katie & Jerry would’ve been a better duo, over Charlie & Jerry.

I don't think young people listen to the radio. Mine don't. It's whatever the Spotify algorithm chucks at them. I know newer music than they do, it's not right.

Is it time for radio 4 now?? I’m finding radio 2 annoying as well and I’m 51 I feel radio 4 days maybe looming.

Oh I thought it was just me getting fed up with the way Radio 2 is going!!
Sometimes I’ll have Smooth on, but otherwise I’ll put Nations 70s on if I’m busy doing something.
Certain newish DJs on Radio 2 irritate the living daylights out of me!

My radio 1 era was Mark and Lard, Chris Moyles, Sara Cox, Zane Lowe and a little bit of Fearne Cotton.
I could not listen to it now, it’s garbage. I even struggle with radio 2 annoying me trying to sound down with the kids .. I’m only 41 🤣

Haven’t listened to Radio 1 for nearly 30 years. I listen to Greatest Hits now, decent music and no ‘banter’. Zoe Ball is starting the lunchtime show soon though so that’ll be me lost to them between 1300-1600. Radio X plays decent stuff but has Chris Moyles and Johnny Vaughn on so I only have them on in the middle of the day.

I’m 36 and for the last 4 years+ at least I’ve been a massive R2 fan
but now I can’t stand it!! When all the line up changed it’s just not found its way,

I would really like to see listening stats when they are released on comparison of this year to last year,

I’m sure Charlie started on Kiss FM, which is the only radio station I used to listen to. She was just awful, quite stupid, or pretended to be stupid. She couldn’t understand how a ton of feathers weighed the same as a ton of steel.

Switch to 6 music. Proper DJs, huge range of music and minimal ‘banter’

I’m still gutted Simon mayo doesn’t do the breakfast show any more, has it changed since then? 😂
