I’ve seen enough episodes - there’s clearly a thing between them

FAMILIAL!

It’s hardly too much to explain 😂😂 it would very simple to.
in actually would have made far more sense to give a little context….

Ok 👍

P.S Have you seen his Instagram?!

what now?

The Heelers have better sexual chemistry than most on-screen couples. That one where they kiss in the swimming pool, or the backpacking role-play one.

Bluey quite often makes me cry. The one where Chilli is worried about Bluey walking, then at the end of the episode Bluey walks towards her in the kitchen (when Chilli's washing up) because she must have 'seen something she wanted'😪. Or the beach. Or the one with Bluey and the French boy/dog at the campsite.

Such a good programme.

I’m sorry but you do sound a bit bitter and lacking in joy, sorry 😔

Don’t be sorry - I’m really not 😘

Isn’t it fairly obvious! Chilli Heeler.

Not if your kids are teenagers and you’ve never watched a single episode of Bluey and have no idea what any of the characters are called…

the learning to walk one should be compulsory viewing. the way poodle mom has her back

Had no idea, that’s a huge amount of money

I can imagine it is quite the money spinner.

I love that the kids are voiced by kids and the kids are uncredited. imagine the pressure...

also that the name and colouring meant k lots of people thought she was a boy which meant lots of boys got to love her before any "girls show" nonsense.

prem baby episode make me cry every time

Mushr00mMagee · 27/07/2026 20:03

for example,

Funnybones
Bertha
Trapdoor
Frog and Toad (much better as a book though)
Brambly Hedge (ditto)
Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids
Tales of The riverbank (60s version)
and I loved Watch With Mother too.

Good stories, lovely animation, no annoying dad or older kid!

Edited

😂🙈 none of these are that funny or beautiful or have amazing life lessons in them for children and adults, or show diversity in the way bluey does. I will caveat that Daniel tiger does all these things too. But bluey and DT are the two best shows on tv for life lessons for kids and easy watching for adults!

That’s a shame you think that way as some of these programmes are incredible and have stood the test of time, but then I think Bluey is absolutely awful and only influenced my smallest DC to do some really annoying things (thankfully they got over the programme quite quickly) it’s good that we all appreciate different things in life!

Also if you think that programmes like Frog and Toad don’t have beautiful lessons then you should try it again. The books are phenomenal and have stood the test of time.

Bandit's clearly having it off her with her next door though, you know, Wendy the poodle?

It's clearly not 'pretty obvious.' I didn't know who the OP was on about, and neither did a few other posters!

Why assume if you have heard of something/someone, that everyone else has heard of it?!

And I STILL do not know who Chilli Heeler is!

Why bother with the thread then? You do not know who Chilli is. You do not know if op is being unreasonable. It doesn't seem like the thread for you really.

Scaryspicer · 27/07/2026 21:49

I like Bandit in small doses, but I have a feeling he would be a bit like ‘Daniel’ in Mrs Doubtfire and he would never be serious. Couldn’t be married to him long term he would drive me mad.

We are a Bluey loving household and I was thinking just this the other day. I wish I was more Chilli, but I think I’m more Chloe’s dad in the episode where they’re playing octopus 🫤

Firebird83 · 27/07/2026 21:57

She annoys me as she’s too perfect!

But the thread wasn't clear what it was about, so we clicked on it to find out more.

When I read the thread, I actually thought OP had just misspelled "chilly", and was hoping for colder weather, like I am!

I also wondered if she was wanting to be a chilli pepper...

So it was only when reading the first page that a number of us realised the OP was talking about some random character that was not in anyway "obvious", hence why quite a few of us commented.

I had no idea "Chilli" was referring to a character (that I'd never heard of) when I clicked on it, so why wouldn't I click on the thread?

you take that back!! that's slanderous. he ADORES Chilli.

BurntBroccoli · 27/07/2026 22:08

Chilli con Carne? Chilli as in chilly - are you too hot?

Some context would be good in the first post!

have you seen the episode where she's hungover so she pretends to be a whale?

Omg the campsite one, is that the one where Bluey and a new friend planted a tree? Then the friend disappeared. Then it went forward some years and we saw Bluey as a teenager, reading under the tree, and the tree had become huge. And then the friend turned up. I did have a little cry at that.

Yes! When older French dog says 'Hello Bluey' in his French accent. So sweet.

8 pages in and you’re confused? I doubt any type of context would have helped you!

For some of us we just knew. So we came to this thread.

To save the rest of the inevitable “who?!?l” posts, OP has failed to mention that Chili is a cartoon dog

Thank you! Didn't have a clue and had no idea why OP wanted to be a chilli 😁

Gerbills · 27/07/2026 22:39

Fucking Hell, why are so many grown women absolutely furious that someone has posted about a cartoon character they don’t know 😂😂. If you don’t know who they are, just scroll past. Absolutely insane behaviour.

I am 40 and don’t have kids and do know what Bluey is. If I didn’t, I’d have simply left the thread. Get a grip.
