I’m pretty envious, what a lovely life 😩

You can keep saying that, but it’s not helpful.

If you said “chilli heeler is a character in a kids cartoon” that gives something called by people who can write coherent sentences, context.

I didn’t need to in this instance, fans are fans and die hard ones just know.

I’ll tell you who’s whiny…that Bing guy!

Urgh he was banned from our TV. Snivelling little whinger.

Pjsaremyfaveoutfit · 27/07/2026 19:59

I was just joking….

Apologies, I took it another way.

Koalaslippers · 27/07/2026 20:05

I would love to be Chilli.

I love how most of the games in the show are simple to replicate and don't evolve fancy things. Often my kids see an idea on bluey then make their own version.

Why is the panda always in his pants? Like, they will be at the playground and he has taken his trousers off and none of his carers seem to think this might be a safeguarding issue.

for example,

Funnybones
Bertha
Trapdoor
Frog and Toad (much better as a book though)
Brambly Hedge (ditto)
Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids
Tales of The riverbank (60s version)
and I loved Watch With Mother too.

Good stories, lovely animation, no annoying dad or older kid!

Edited

None of those are funnier than bluey

Are you actually ok?! Please breathe

Are you ok that being polite to posters (such as myself) who had no idea what you were oh about, would be better than your immature responses? I'm 60. No grandchildren (yet) and just opened from curiosity. But the rude responses from OP who aren't part of her 'gang' are unwarranted. Maybe just explain without the rudeness?

That's 8.

Most are old that you can't watch on TV.

Yes they are, Bluey isn’t funny at all! Have watched a lot of it and not laughed once about a gecko falling of the ceiling or them calling each other daft names or dancing in front of cars. It’s kids humour, yes, but doesn’t include anything for adults. Trapdoor on the other hand is for both adults and kids and it shows

They’re all tv shows that you can still watch in some form or another. And sorry I didn’t count, it’s not that big of a deal!

Pjsaremyfaveoutfit · 27/07/2026 20:01

Why dull? surely just typical family life with young kids? They’re hardly going to be snorting coke & swinging from the chandeliers…not whilst B & B are still up, at least.

Typical life with young kids is often stultifying. I was living it, I didn’t need to watch cartoon dogs acting it out.

idontknow54789 · 27/07/2026 19:28

Yeah but did you know Chilli clearly has a thing for Lucky’s Dad?

If I was married to that Disney-dadding knob Bandit I would have a thing for Lucky's Dad too.

Well, you were so passionate about there being "so many" that are funnier and more beautiful...and then you named 8, none of which are funnier....

LondonLass2026 · 27/07/2026 20:10

My child hasn't been young since the early 2000s and I know who op meant 😂.

I am a 50 year old woman with no children around me, and I regularly put Bluey on during the day when I am working from home. Just that gentle theme tune and having it on in the background somehow focuses me.

I don’t think I was rude at all, just a whole load of shouting, swearing and exclamation marks over a post about kids tv! A harmless, wholesome thing…I mean, honestly.

Love how angry this is making some people 😂

Generally speaking if I don’t understand something i either ask a Qn, google it or decide I just don’t care enough to find out and carry on with my day. But this has really ruffled some feathers!

I don’t think saying simply “chilli heeler” is very helpful!!

those without children- how would they know?? I’m sure you're just doing this to wind us up.
tbf I know who chilli is and i agree! I would be fine with being married to bandit too! What a great dad!

I have a 4 year old and I didn’t know. I’ve seen the show once and found it intensely irritating. It strikes me as something for adults, not children. The characters are completely aggravating.

I wasn’t passionate, I was replying tongue in cheek to a thread about it a cartoon dog that I really dislike. It’s really not a big deal. I think those programmes are indeed funnier, more beautiful or more educational. If you don’t think so then that’s okay, because it’s only television. Enjoy your evening.

Good point, I’d say the same about a fair few kids shows, this is different though and always nice to be involved or a part of what the kids are watching
