I’m pretty envious, what a lovely life 😩

If I was married to that Disney-dadding knob Bandit I would have a thing for Lucky's Dad too.

🤣

Love how angry this is making some people 😂

Generally speaking if I don’t understand something i either ask a Qn, google it or decide I just don’t care enough to find out and carry on with my day. But this has really ruffled some feathers!

I reckon the angry ones are the same people who get upset about "school gate mum cliques". If they aren't a part of something, they're clearly being LEFT OUT!

It's a cartoon dog. Many of us are familiar with the character, many others are not. Why that makes people froth at the mouth I don't know.

My child hasn't been young since the early 2000s and I know who op meant 😂.

I am a 50 year old woman with no children around me, and I regularly put Bluey on during the day when I am working from home. Just that gentle theme tune and having it on in the background somehow focuses me.

Aww so nice x

It's pretty obvious!

Nope.

What????

I’ve seen enough episodes - there’s clearly a thing between them

BadgerInTheAirDuct · 27/07/2026 20:22

Mere1 · 27/07/2026 20:21

Nope.

Another one. Can someone start a separate thread for the moody folk?

cocoromo · 27/07/2026 20:25

Urg what a tiresome post. Trying to make it an “in” thing for those who know…..just explain yourself properly in the OP or don’t bother posting. I do know who Chilli is, as my kid are Bluey fans, however still find your deliberate vagueness irritating. Clearly lots of people wont know what you’re on about…..

as kids shows go, I’m a fan of Bluey. I cannot stand Bing or Peppa Pig or lots of others. But Bluely is gentle and the family are kind to each other. And it is at times funny and emotional.

On a commercial note, Bluey is among the most successful kids shows for years - it has travelled across the world. It’s a $2bn franchise or something and shows in 140 countries and there are theme park rides etc. It’s won an Emmy. So I’d argue at least a good chunk of the world is at least somewhat familiar with it. (Had three child-free 40-something friends over yesterday for dinner and they mentioned loving Bluey).

JudgeJ · 27/07/2026 20:29

Kingdomofsleep · 27/07/2026 18:33

Do you mean Bluey's mum? I would hate to be married to Bandit. So annoying and always centering himself in the kids' play.

Are these real people?

Cakeface11 · 27/07/2026 20:29

idontknow54789 · 27/07/2026 19:28

Yeah but did you know Chilli clearly has a thing for Lucky’s Dad?

Ha I was just about to say I’d rather be Lucky’s mum getting to be married to a legend like Pat 😂

That’s the Chilli I thought of first too lol

Same, but then thought Chilli con Carne 😂

couch25kagain · 27/07/2026 19:47

There there. Take a deeeeep breath and then we can talk about those big feelings you’re having.

That was so condescending I cringed when I read it. Awful. She’s not wrong either…😳😳

cocoromo · 27/07/2026 20:34

SleepingStandingUp · 27/07/2026 19:19

Because if you know you know, and if you don't t it's too much to explain.

Yes op, esp with that house a d I reckon they have a, great sex like

It’s hardly too much to explain 😂😂 it would very simple to.
in actually would have made far more sense to give a little context….

Summerunlover · 27/07/2026 20:34

I feel so inadequate as a parent when I watch it. I. Love it so much muffin is my fave, although I am raising a muffin

It is not your place to tell people where and when they post, or on what threads. Clearly LOTS of people had no idea what or who the OP was talking about. And they were entitled to say so. It's a free country. Maybe you should 'chill out.'

Google bean soup theory

Royaly82 · 27/07/2026 20:40

Ive got 5 kids and I had no idea who you were talking about. Even after the chilli heeler comment. Then when I saw the bluey comment its suddenly clicked 🤦‍♀️🤣
So definitely not obvious (I thought you were talking about the awful heat!)

ClassActress · 27/07/2026 20:42

Pjsaremyfaveoutfit · 27/07/2026 20:15

Good point, I’d say the same about a fair few kids shows, this is different though and always nice to be involved or a part of what the kids are watching

My kid likes SpongeBob which I don’t mind if it’s the early ones, Alvin and the chipmunks which has its moments and various Barbie cartoons which can also be genuinely funny at times. Same with Loud House.
She goes on and off Bluey. It was a breath of fresh air in the beginning compared to stuff like Peppa but I know all of the episodes back and forth by now and I’m glad she likes slightly “older” cartoons.
I watch animated shows for adults in my own time so I think that’s why Bluey doesn’t really do anything for me.

ToastAndApricotJam · 27/07/2026 20:54

I do like Bluey but I don’t understand why Peppa gets so much hate compared to it, especially when the creator of Bluey is from the Peppa Pig team. Bluey is essentially what Peppa would have been if it was created in the mid 2010s (all gentle parenting). Peppa was created in peak Simpsons era and it shows.

I think the team did a deal with the devil to make addictive kids programming 😂

Specifically on Chilli I’m on the team that feel a bit sorry for her because Bandit is such a smug Disney dad! I very much identify with the episode where she needs 20 minutes to herself 😂😂

I did also have to take a Bluey break in our house because the DC were ‘inspired’ by the way the characters use every item of furniture in the house to make elaborate sets for their games.

Bloatstoat · 27/07/2026 20:55

I'd rather be Janelle.

I don't have the patience to be Chilli and I'd prefer to be married to Pat than Bandit.

You are being so unreasonable to expect people to know what the fuck your post was about. The addition of "Heeler", still doesn't make anything any more obvious.

Yes, I've seen from the thread comments what you're banging on about but why the fuck write a post that so many people won't have a fucking clue what you're talking about in the first place?!

Context matters.

I think you mean "what the biscuits"
