Starmer shoehorned references to Reform into every Prime Ministers question time. You could see then eating away at him.

Reform voters should take it as a win. We have Home Secretary introducing at least center right policies like the end of Family Reunion for refugees, and taking action to bring net immigration down massively. The core thing Reform what to do in reducing immigration has been achieved which is partly why it is harder and harder for them to be relevant.

She does handle him better than Starmer did.

My point was addressing why some people who are far right have an issue with accepting that they are. The Overton window has shifted dramatically in the last few years and views that were once considered extreme and radical are now considered acceptable to some. And, those who find these extreme views palatable can't accept or don't realise how extreme they have become.

PS, I am not a sneery leftist, by the way. Just R of centre currently having once been just L of centre - and appalled at the polarisation of our politics to ‘far right v far left’ narratives and the lack of cooperative and collaborative approaches to policy making and governance.

Kemi has been excellent in her responses to Farage, and I applaud her for it.

It's a shame that more of her admirers on MN haven't been inspired to follow her example.

Burnham seems keen on cross party collaboration. Time will tell if this translates into genuine action, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

I am not talking about people just nodding along approvingly in response to anything that Kemi says. We see plenty of that.

I'm merely observing that, while Kemi herself has been strong and pithy in her critique of Farage, I have not seen many, if any, of her admirers on MN actively following that lead.

There may be posts that I haven't seen, of course. But for the most part, I find many of Kemi's fans curiously reluctant to criticise Farage, despite Kemi herself doing so quite effectively.

I can’t quote specific lines but my yes they have was referring to the claim people who like Kemi don’t criticise Farage, I’ve read the posts where they do so it’s not correct.

But yes no one has to agree with any politician on everything, that’s ok.

Why on earth should the main parties expend time and energy engaging in Farage’s charade? He chose to call a by election and then stand again in the hopes that this would stop the investigations into his corruption. Let him slug it out with Count Binface and a bunch of dodgy independents or far right wierdos.
