to be pissed off that DS's headmaster (who has partner) is allegedly sleeping with his (DS's) teacher?

Have you seen them in bed together?

It may be true of course but school rumours are poisonous.

hoxtonchick · 24/06/2008 21:24

we have all kinds of scurrilous rumours circulating in the playground about various members of staff & their liasions with each other. unsurprisingly, it normally all turns out to be made up. though does make the school run more interesting . so i'd take the gossip with a pinch of salt.

ravenAK · 24/06/2008 21:24

Would it bother you if they weren't ds's teacher & headteacher - just two random casual acquaintances?

BeetrootBevan · 24/06/2008 21:25

leave them alone and get one with your life

avenanap · 24/06/2008 21:25

Gossip. Don't you just hate it? I bet they are both so embarassed. Poor things.

Its none of your business, you don't even know if it is true, and you most certainly not know any of the details.

Seen together?

Stone the whore! I mean how can a woman be seen with a man and expect ever to be received into Decent Society again?

seeker · 24/06/2008 21:30

And this affects the education your child receives exactly how?

Well, if you were saying that it bothered you, in the context of disrupting ds's education by the aspersions being cast on his teacher's fragrantly pure image...YABU.

But if you'd object just the same if they were random acquaintances, YABVU.

Enough with the curtain twitching!

motherinferior · 24/06/2008 21:33

What happened to let he who is without sin cast the first stone?

motherinferior · 24/06/2008 21:36

Frankly, if I were shagging someone illicitly the last thing I'd do is flirt openly. It's a well-known Thing To Avoid.

And I do find the claim that you're bothered that your head has too much on his ahem plate, a bit spurious tbh.

Thomcat · 24/06/2008 21:36

Oh FGS, what does it matter who he is sleeping with and how many wives he's had.
Is he a good head teacher? Do you like the school? IS your son happy there, doing well?
Those are the important things. As long as he' not sleeping with an underage pupil or doing anything illegal it's no-one elses business what he does with his private life.

whatdayisit · 24/06/2008 21:36

I agree at a regular school it would be none of the OP's business, but at a C of E school where, presumably the children are taught the benefit of a christian life, respecting the 10 commandments etc, shouldn't the staff, esp the head, be obliged to practise what they preach? But and it's a big but, that's if any of the rumors are true.

DirtySexyMummy · 24/06/2008 21:36

Seriously - you are weird.

Love how you point out it is his 4th wife. And can you not see the irony of you even mentioning that? Does it not maybe suggest something to you?

Good god. You care because they teach your child? The worst excuse for gossiping i've heard in a while. What the hell does any teachers personal life have to do with your childs education?!

Heated · 24/06/2008 21:37

I'm not sure how you have a vested interest.
