Oddly enough, teachers are allowed to have complicated lives.

I'd agree that sick wife/heavy workload/affair with colleague might be distracting.

My combination of dh's band on tour/bloody painful ear infection/small baby is probably doing nowt for my efficiency, come to that.

It's just not your business.

controlfreakyagain · 24/06/2008 21:41

i think you should learn from this experience... cross examine the head / teachers of any prospective secondary schools as to their marital status / views on adultery etc.....

cornsilk · 24/06/2008 21:41

At least he enjoys his job.

motherinferior · 24/06/2008 21:41

I attempt to flirt outrageously with several of the more personable fathers at the school gates (I don't get out much).

PMSL @ cornsilk.

Gossip of course is normally unkind & rather poisonous, so I'd think they were stupid for being indiscrete to give rise to it, but their sex lives do not compromise their ability to teach.

at the thought

motherinferior · 24/06/2008 21:43

Er, what about sin and stones, eh?

It strikes me as profoundly unChristian to go around passing on gossip.

controlfreakyagain · 24/06/2008 21:44

tell the bishop then...... tell the school governors what is (allegedly) going on.... tell his sick (4th) wife....

what do you want to happen? them both sacked? them both to wear hair shirts and publicly repent?

get a grip!

WIND YOUR BEAK IN

Rachmumoftwo · 24/06/2008 21:47

Teachers should only be concerned with teaching their children. In fact, they should sleep in the school so that they can't have any other kind of life.

BetteNoire · 24/06/2008 21:48

As long as they weren't humping during assembly, I'd keep my nose out.

So to speak.

The C of E detail is irrelevant.

TheMARGOnator · 24/06/2008 21:49

I'd understand your reservations if your lo was at a convent school and the mother superior was having it away with the bishop

Thomcat · 24/06/2008 21:53

I have to LOL at his mind not being on the job due to shagging someone, allegedly. If his wife is really sick then yes that may be on his mind during the day, but who he shags is NOT going to interfere with his abilities as a head teacher.

TBH - the only thing you need to worry about is whether you are happy with the school, is your son doing well, if the answers to the above are yes then don't even think about anything else.

motherinferior · 24/06/2008 21:54

Actually they might both be all energised and glowing, mightn't they, radiating the Lineaments of Gratified Desire.

Lucky sods

UnquietDad · 24/06/2008 21:55

It's a rumour.

It's unsubstantiated.

This sort of thing goes round all the time at schools.

And even if it's true - is it your business?

And what the HELL is meant by the "it's a C of E school and therefore it's worse" insinuation? I feel my hackles physically rising at that....

lulurose · 24/06/2008 21:56

Don't see why you need to concern yourself with who is (apparently) sleeping with who. They are your DSs teachers and not morally accountable to you.

LynetteScavo · 24/06/2008 21:58

yabu

It's none of your buisness.

If you really have a problem with it write to the governers, or confront the head directly.

wheresthehamster · 24/06/2008 21:59

lol Rachmum grin]
