DH being an ungrateful **** or is it me?

DH moaned he didn’t get a breakfast in bed today. Fair enough I could have thought of that but it’s been a stressful few days for other reasons. This seemed to set the tone for the day. He moaned the table at the pub we booked was outside and too hot. DS shouldn’t have got him a big bar of chocolate as it will just melt this week and he doesn’t want to eat it in one go today (he doesn’t keep chocolate in the fridge).

He has had a couple of drinks tonight which he doesn’t usually do on a Sunday night and I’ve come upstairs after he’s insinuated he ‘deserves’ a particular sex act to salvage the day (something I am not against doing but only with some notice for his birthday etc).

I feel like he has been totally ungrateful - nice cards, chocolates, a meal out, dinner cooked at home etc.

He’s a twat
Give him a punishment pegging
Teach him a lesson for next year

I’m crying at ‘punishment pegging’ 😂

Not the point of the thread but surely taking immodium before anal is going to cause a bit of a mess 🤔

It prevents the bowels from opening the floodgates during the act.

I’m most intrigued by what sex act he only gets on his birthday with notice?

I think we all know what the sex act is but why do you need notice??

To get in the right frame of mind? To down a bottle of wine? For him to clean his cheesy knob?

Can you tell I hate Bj’s 😂

To cleanse and dry the mud chute.

Audacious.

I just picture OP's drunk husband on the bed, demanding she pleases him.

Hopefully, she went off to sleep wearing her winter coat.

I would have thought an enema would be better prep than Immodium?

I've had to have 2 colonoscopies in the last few years. I can honestly say that after an evening of drinking the evil enema concoction my bowels were completely empty and my arse as clean as clean could be.

Not that I even contemplated letting Mr Woodfires come anywhere near it... each to their own, but not in my repertoire (or my arse, lol).

To gather and prepare all necessary equipment, uniforms and to book the anaesthetist.

Ah yes, I was getting confused and thinking imodium was making you go rather than bunging you up. I’ve got it the wrong way round. I get it now 😂

DollopOfFun · 21/06/2026 22:21

Or anal, lots of people like to prep by eating light, taking immodium or douching

And they say romance is dead.

Now, imagine that. He'd never demand anal again.

I'm crying with laughter 🤣🤣

Reasons why men want anal:

  • it used to be seen as 'forbidden', and therefore more desirable
  • an arsehole is often tighter than a vagina, so gives more sensation
  • these days many men watch a lot of porn, and anal is done ALL the time, so men think they should be able to do it IRL too
  • it can be seen as a way of dominating their partner, as many women really don't want to do it
  • there's no risk of pregnancy

OP, I hope all of your orifices (orifii?) shut up shop tonight.
And I hope you put the chocolate in the fridge.

  • it can be seen as a way of dominating their partner, as many women really don't want to do it

This is what concerns me. It seems like some men just want to have sex with a woman in a way that doesn’t give her pleasure, as though the attraction is that the act is solely for their benefit/ can even be painful for the woman.

Also I’ve read that men’s bodies can tolerate anal sex much better than women’s - so what’s fine for gay men (or straight men who like pegging) is not fine for women.

Hello just wanted to say, if you don't like doing something then there shouldn't be pressure for you to engage in that activity (sex act) regardless of what day it is.

Makes me feel unwell op does things she doesn’t seem to like hence them being ‘treats’ (yuck !)

Men that like anal will always be weird to me.

I can’t fathom it either because ew. But it’s really shitty when they know women don’t have a prostrate gland and have no pleasure from it. Surely it feels ‘tight’ because it’s not naturally lubricated. We have vaginas for a reason, for consensual sex we also want.

Women can suffer prolapses and do more commonly than men too! More at risk with hormones and childbirth etc. It’s significantly less risky for men but I still know one man who had reconstructive work done because of a previous boyfriend of his.

Put it on his pillow every Saturday night

Id much rather be on my own than put up with this

He has been deliberately finding fault since breakfast with this evenings request in mind. It didn't matter what the kids got him for fathers day. This was his plan all along.

He sounds revolting and like a big baby.

Don't know how you put up with it.

I assume it requires a lot of equipment and a full day of building / setting up.

(And then the whole kit and caboodle has to be dismantled and packed away in the loft for next year's birthday.)

suburberphobe · 22/06/2026 01:47

can even be painful for the woman.

Yep. Not normal.

My eventual route to finding out I had endometriosis. This was in the 1970's.
Luckily cured now.

And furious it's now so much more common and women are left to suffer in silence by the medical establishment.

Mind you, I did all kinds of alternative therapies, like acupuncture and energy healing. I think the whole helped me get rid of it.

Pity there's so much scepticism about it on MN.
