AIBU to feel sorry for Harper? If BB has an issue with his parents it shouldn’t mean that he also stops talking to his siblings. It’s equally as sad if the parents did choreographed the letter/visit.

Well they aren't really together, I don't think. In my mind they just have a lot of business opportunities (read: photo ops) and just stay married for the sake of the brand. To me this suggests they both cling onto public attention for dear life.

For all their faults, D&V usually play it more subtle than this. Harper’s delivery service was a panic move.

And it backfired because of their narcissistic way of relating to others. They got hot headed. and I am not going to be surprised if their PR team at some point struggle to do a decent job, because what VD want VD get. If there is a perceived slight they might go against all advice by people who know the PR game.

Their PR comes across as quite primitive. Like the only thing they know is photo ops and tell the world how inconsolable they are. It's like they aren't able to play a long game and it becomes tit for tat all the time.

I would absolutely love it if BB stopped caring and will one day tell his experience of growing up in a narcissistic household and help other survivors. There is a kind of inhibition you have when you grow up like this. It takes a ton of work to undo, but there comes a point you feel to secure in yourself you stop caring what anyone thinks and just want to be your true authentic self.

Yes, D&B have lost all sense of perspective now, having surrounded themselves with family acolytes (including those two nightie-clad lookalike girlfriends, who seem to look like each other as well as Victoria), their paid PR, various other dependent employees, and in-their-pockets ‘celeb’ journalists.

Another dynamic that I expect to start playing out more and more is narcissistic jealousy that is already visible. At some level, the narcissistic mother wants to annihilate the daughter, especially a teenage one.

So much of what V is doing and saying is going to embarrass H and make her feel uncomfortable, and V knows it. All the skincare stuff, for starters, and why it’s needed. The revealing clothes. The papped errand wearing her nightie-frock with the low cut frontage. Making her a spectacle. Encouraging strangers to have opinions on her ‘look’, her body. And she will absolutely blame H if and when there is negativity from H or any outside commentators about it.

It’s denigration dressed up as empowerment, vicious intrusion dressed up as ‘brand’. That child has no voice, and will not know who she is at 18 at this rate.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if some of those comments are coming from the Beckham's payroll, so mum and dad can say "look how nasty people are out there, Brooklyn. Come back to us and our money that you've helped us make will protect you".

Also with all the talk of photo ops, I'm sure I remember Brooklyn saying how they tried to get him to turn up at David's birthday just to have his photo taken with them. Then he could leave if he wished. I was somewhat unsurprised by that revelation.
