AIBU to feel sorry for Harper? If BB has an issue with his parents it shouldn’t mean that he also stops talking to his siblings. It’s equally as sad if the parents did choreographed the letter/visit.

I know others blame Nicola, and think she’s controlling. Same as with Meghan. But, from what I can see, both Brooklyn & Harry wanted out. They’d both gone out with suitable women before. And duly dumped the ones that weren’t. But look at the women they married.

Both have said that the press narrative / family dynamics were the reason they’ve cut off their families. If you look at other nepo babies, the co-dependency is strong. Kelly & Sharon. Damian & Liz Hurley. With Kris Jenner, it’s business first. I mean, look at Kylie…

Nicola doesn’t need Beckham wealth, she’ll never be on the pay roll.

It does make sense that they must have just assumed that they would be able to keep their children in line with money and then Brooklyn ends up with someone richer than the beckhams will ever be. They have used him as a commodity since he was conceived.

She’s a 14 year old. I don’t think she can be expected to have an adult’s grasp of what has gone on. She may have been encouraged by her parents, or she may have begged them because she misses her brother and was nearby. We simply don’t know. We also don’t know that her brother turned her away. He might simply have been out.

Looks like Harper was being set up by the parents. Father's day next weekend.

The fact we even know it happens sort of puts Brooklyn in the right. It is of course possible to do things in private, even if your the Beckhams, and Harper chose not to go that route which Brooklyn has made it clear he would prefer.

Although, my sympathy is limited for someone who was happy to be within Brand Beckham when his family wealth supported him, but once he married into a richer family he was happy to disown the brand. The Peltzes don't need to maintain celebrity like the Beckhams do to remain wealthy and relevant, and so I suspect he thinks that his parents should have given him the life Nicola had (one with all of the opportunities that nepotism brings but without creating tabloid fodder), but they weren't wealthy enough for that.

He didn't complain about the compromises associated with Brand Beckham when he needed it, but now it's given him access to a better life he's happy to disown it.

I don't think you ABU to feel sorry for a 14 yr old girl who has lost contact with her brother and wants to see him, he's cut contact with her because of a falling out with their parents and i think thats wrong and must hurt them both.

I have known this situation - in my wider family, unfortunately. Including the 'being shunned on the doorstep' scenario.

It is a really horrible situation to be in, both for siblings and other relatives, and being in the public eye is not going to make it easier, by any means. Especially when you have the paps camped on your doorstep 24/7 waiting to follow you wherever you go.

In California children can’t be photographed and publicised without parents’ permission. State law.

He was out, he was in New York on the other side of the country and had been posting on his social media that he was in New York.

He’s apparently blocked his parents on SM but not his sister. Not that they couldn’t look at his posts on someone else’s account of course.
