'Afghan men 'fled UK in lorry after raping girl'

Mobile phone footage recovered from Safi's phone showed the men in the lorry laughing and gesticulating, which Hetherington said suggested they thought they "got away with it".

When they were found by French police in Calais on 3 December, they were returned to the UK.
Hetherington said the trio had no travel documents or identification and had given false names to French authorities.
After their real names were checked on police systems, they were arrested on suspicion of rape.
Sali, of St Werburghs, denies one count of human trafficking and two charges of rape.
Habibkheil, of Lockleaze, denies one count of human trafficking and one charge of rape.
Ahmadzai, of Redcliffe, denies one charge of rape and one charge of assault by penetration.
The 16-year-old also denied one charge of rape.
The trial continues.'

The exterior entrance of Bristol Crown Court. It is a large sand coloured building with white columns outside the front, and large arched wooden double doors on the left.

Afghan men accused of fleeing UK after raping girl in Bristol

A jury is told three defendants left the country in a "deeply unusual" way after the alleged rape.

Australia springs to mind. Is it easy to get into America etc? Come on, stop playing dumb and defending illegal immigration.

It’s a basic function of government to check who is coming in.

Or it should be but we seem to be stuck in a loop of horrific crime / backlash and nothing is done.

The source is with the original reference. So yes -I did provide it. Stop lying.

'Please read that over' Oh dear! Bless you. You think you're smart.. Sadly..

Eta: There are approximately 2 billion Muslims in the world today. This makes Islam the second-largest religion globally, with adherents accounting for roughly 25% of the world's total population.

You do the maths. I hope I need not explain further to you. In any case I won't. I'm bored with you now, you've provided no critical thinking or debate whatsoever.

Edited

Ah ok I couldn't see the original post with the source. But that doesn't change the fact that the statistic cited comes from a reported claim about a leaked analysis that has never been published and that it refers to suspects rather than persons convicted.

RE the number of Muslims in the world today - I'm not really sure what the point here is?

So the only answer is Australia really.

The US land border with Mexico is notoriously leaky, many people cross that easily despite Trump’s wall. There are between 1.5 and 2 million encounters with people crossing that border annually.

MaturingCheeseball · Today 12:10

It’s ridiculous when you think of the palaver one goes through to fly back and forth - yet men are able to come here and wander the streets with only the most rudimentary of checks, or even none at all. And as for accepting men who have already been rejected for asylum in other countries - 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Samysungy · Today 12:18

MaturingCheeseball · Today 11:51

Surely the problem is that there are very large numbers of immigrant men who are not going to attract any women. We are not talking about doctors etc, but low-skilled, poorly-educated males with little English and unenlightened views. British males, however much people like to sneer at them, have a community and friends and family network.

I can’t imagine Muslim girls are going to be too keen, let alone their families!

So we get, inevitably, sexual assaults. Or maybe we will have to tolerate prostitution as it’s hardly likely that all these men are going to sign up to a lifetime of celibacy.

We get sexual assaults when they are in relationships....that is where most happen...how will them not being in a relationship cause more?

Have to tolerate rape? WTF?

Australia is pretty useful for how to stop deaths at sea

This whataboutery is tiring.

Large groups of womenless men cause trouble. See military history. Any military you like.

Hoping that thousands of men of unknown backgrounds will live harmoniously in monk-like states is optimistic to say the least.

bilbohaggins · Today 13:14

@Violinorbanjo

I really can’t see many British women choosing someone who has crossed in a boat from a war torn country over the average British male. Certainly, if you look at the profile of the rapist guys from Brighton/Bristol (and others), these guys are not exactly princes with high levels of education - at a time at which lots of graduates are struggling with employment, these guys are going to be doing basic delivery or off the books jobs at best. They are living in the equivalent of army barracks with other young men who have very little in terms of possessions or opportunities. Unfortunately, history tells us that these kinds of circumstances are rife for sexual assault, even ignoring the assumptions that might be made against women or girls deemed to be immodest in their home culture.

Please stop believing this bullshit about the NHS.
I've worked in the NHS since 1990.
We have trained qualified nurses, midwives and doctors here- UK citizens who cannot get jobs because they are given to foreign nationals who take a grade/pay cut to come here.

They come undocumented for this exact reason. So what? Not our responsibility.
If they had to live in a detainment camp- permanently- maybe that would disincentivise

Plus if the population was smaller the NHS wouldn’t need so much extra staff. It’s a six of one vs half a dozen situation.
I really like my Indian neighbours who are nurses, this isn’t about them, just a numbers game, both have aging parents living here, 6 children between the two households, family total 16 that will need healthcare vs two nurses that supply the care.

Nope large groups of men with women they are in relationships with are the main cause of sexual abuse.

Pretending men rape because they do not get sex is bullshit. 51% of women rake up being raped by their partners....partners who absolutely have sex with them already but they want to rape so they do rape.

Saying lets legalise paid rape to let these men rape will not stop rape within relationships.

Men rape not because they are not getting sex as rape is not about sex....duh!

I cannot imagine why someone said legalise paid rape to prevent rape....as if it is fine to pay to rape someone.

PluggyWuggy · Today 13:25

YANBU

I genuinely do not understand why these men are allowed to wander freely.

Firstly they should be detained once entering the country.
Ifbthey are found to have purposely destroyed ID documents or attempted to conceal their identity they should be denied entry and deported.

If they are found to have ANY criminal history they should be denied at deported.

Whilst this process is happening they should be in detention centers. NOT allowed in general public.

Ifbthey have any ties or social media affiliation with any terrorist groups or extremeist ideology they should be denied and deported. Ditto any general anti west/ anti britain/ anti women rhetoric.

If they don't meet the critea for skilled employment and cannot support themselves without assistance from benefits including housing. They should not be approved.

I am just watching the news on tv - home sec is with bbc who exposed the illegal sale of vapes , cigarettes, etc (including prodtitites) in high streets - ALL the shops are immigrant run and owned - but it takes the BBC to sort this

That's why they've got away with it for so long, i.e. the enforcement authorities being scared of the "racist" card being used, so turning a blind eye.

MaturingCheeseball · Today 13:45

I just don’t get the barbers/vape shops/mini marts… what happened to Council Licencing Committees? Who is approving a fifth barbershop in a place with 15 shops in total (here!) ? There are not enough men here - let alone those still with hair - to support this number.

Marmalademorning · Today 13:46

notatinydancer · Today 11:32

where to ? They often come undocumented so can’t say where they come from.
Turn them away - yes but you can’t let them drown in a dinghy.
Close the borders, agree. It’s difficult as we need skilled migrants the NHS wouldn’t survive without overseas staff.

Oh well, let’s just let them all in then 🤡

khw666 · Today 13:51

What I can't understand is why the border security did not stop him at Dublin airport. I thought Sudanese passport holders needed a visa to visit Ireland and they are highly restrictive. I hope we get the full information, although I feel it will be hidden.

MaturingCheeseball · Today 13:51

This NHS business is exaggerated. Of course a lot of NHS staff are immigrants. But also a lot of immigrants are not NHS staff. They are not any staff at all. I doubt whether the attempted beheader was a contributing member of society.

Why is unemployment so high in Tower Hamlets, for example? Plenty of work in London. Plenty of work in the NHS there. Go figure.

So far 92% IANBU. Says it all. We're almost all worried. When will the government take action, I wonder.

Did this guy enter via the Irish Republic ?

I wasn’t aware of that

Edit: he did, I just looked him up.

There is an extrapolation from extraordinary events that “foreign” men, and men who are not white are much greater predators in the UK than white men.

This is grossly unfair to those law-abiding men who have come to Britain to contribute to our way of life, perhaps seeking respite from their own countries where masculinity is more heavily policed. Or maybe escaping a war or climate change or seeking a better life. Things that even native British people would be likely to do.

Assuming that all refugees or immigrants are like that is to not care about individual human beings.

The language on this thread is utterly shocking “their own women”, “wounded pride” the “pool of British born women” as if we are possessions of men, particularly those of our own nationality.

Sadly there is no changing minds on threads like this but it has to be challenged. Ten years ago language like this would be called out for what it is. Racism.

I am sad that racists now feel able to articulate their private nastiness on public forums like this. But at least we can see your poison.

You again, clearly some sort of left wing bot.

'Assuming that all refugees or immigrants are like that is to not care about individual human beings' - No one thinks that. Stop projecting, again.

Are you the poster that wished me to get ill so I go to hospital? Probably. Too bored with your bigoted views, to look.

No, I’m not a bot. I am just sad that you can’t see past the colour of people’s skin. I do hope you never have to encounter someone not white in your life so you can continue to live in your bubble of purity.
