Harry Windsor getting upset about Peter Phillips

Am I missing something? There is a story in the press today about Harry refusing to go to Peter Phillips's wedding, allegedly because he sold his first wedding to Hello (or OK) magazine. What am I missing here - these magazines have featured Kate and William's wedding, Sophie and Edward, Eugenie and Jack, loads of them. Including his own wedding to Meghan. I thought that's just what they do, so what's Harry's issue? Is it that Peter Phillips got paid and the rest didn't?

The excuse given by Harry is something to do with upsetting him about his girlfriend Chelsy Davy. He's supposedly so happy with Meghan, so why does anything to do with Chelsy bother him now?

For info, this is not a "royal bashing" "Meghan bashing" post. It's to get understanding of how these things work.

This. The press care about their bottom line. The people keeping them alive are the people like those on the Royal board who pore over their every utterance, movement etc and spend all their time posting about them. The online papers know exactly which names generate the most clicks and they print stories accordingly. Harry and Meghan generate many times more clicks and comments than any of the other Royals put together. Even Andrew. Who did you think is paying for the new kitchens and Conservatories of the endless former butlers/Royal commentators/ lip reading experts/ body language experts/ people boring on about The Late Queens opinions? It's people who click over and over again on anything to do with Harry and Meghan.

Definitely! It’s an entire industry at this point and a very lucrative one at that.

The irony being that despite having left the firm they’re the ones that still get the most press attention. Surely it doesn’t bode well for the future of the rest of them if their most interesting members quit years ago (although as a republican I’m not exactly concerned!).

I'm certain I read Harry and Meghan were not invited because he's not close with groom and Harriet didn't want Meghan over shadowing event.

The people who write about this stuff don't actually give a shit about the answers to any of the idiotic questions they pose. They don't care. Their job is to wind you up and set you off 👍😀
