Who's this new celebrity groper who's been ' hauled in' for questioning. I'm beginning to think they've got a supply of them at the BBC that they keep in a cupboard and they let one out evwry now and then when there's a bit if a slow news day.

If you're talking about who I think you are, he confirmed what I thought about him when I met him very briefly 20 odd years ago. Arrogant and belittling to young women.

Doesn't fit with the programme being made by a production company for the Beeb. He can still be an arse without being a predator.

I can't remember him being at the BBC 20 years ago. He didn't start the Number Programme until more recently and the motor show after that.

But whilst Bruce was alive, he gave me massive vibes of that kind. The way he used to speak to the female models (never to Brian, though) on The Price Is Right was gross. He sometimes even 'fourth-walled' by speaking provocatively (and predator-like imho) to the audience about the models, but not actually to them; and making 'phwooaar!!' gestures about these attractive young women who were sometimes young enough to be his granddaughters. Also how keen he was to get right up close to 'help' pretty young women who were reaching up high to pull the showdown wheel - but never the elderly women or the men.

He even frequently did it to the women of the couples on Play Your Cards Right, with their fiancés standing right there next to them. As well as to the models, of course... what was it he called them - 'dollies'? Bleeuurgh.

I've read a lot of comments about Chris Tarrant on MN 'have you met a celebrity' threads, and the vast majority of them have suggested that he's always been vile as soon as the cameras stop rolling - even to kids on children's shows.

From what I've heard, he's the polar opposite of Shaun Wallace (the Chaser) - who has the moody, cantankerous persona on-screen, but as countless contestants have said, is really kind and friendly with them backstage, keen to make their day really special, including joining them in the bar for a drink afterwards.

What makes you think the BBC is any different from any other.big organisation. I guess you subscribe to some steaming services. The BBC is not a particular outlier when it comes to sex predators in the entertainment industry especially historically.

They gave the initials MS, but I don't know if that was his initials or those of the programme - if indeed they weren't completely barking up the wrong tree.
