To be totally APPALLED by how Robinson referred to Henry Nowak in his “speech” in Southampton on Tuesday?

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 04/06/2026 09:22

I’ve just seen a clip of this in a Guardian article on the main agitators in Southampton on Tuesday.
TR refers to Henry Nowak in this way: “White privilege?! Does Henry swear word beginning with F Nowak look as if he had white privilege when he was lying on the floor?”
He then smirks as he looks down, clearly proud of himself for delivering such an eloquent speech [sarcasm].
I’m beyond disgusted by how the name of this beautiful young man, who has lost his life in the most brutal way, was used in such a disrespectful way in order to rouse a rabble and boost TR’s ego.
AIBU to say that over the last two days TR, NF and their ilk are really showing us who they are and what motivates them?

Nope. That's not what he said. He is not 'clearly talking about multiple examples'.

Although are you now claiming there has been '2-tier policing' for 20 years. Maybe you'll have more success than the previous poster in finding links to these cases of race gangs of Pakistani Muslims beating up a white guy and when the police turn up they jump on the white guy. It's surprising that the likes of Nigel Farage haven't acted more quickly. Mind you, as someone else pointed out, maybe Nige was too busy accusing Henry Nowak's relatives of eating swans.

Eh?

this was the quote from his speech provided by pp:

”I’ve spoken about this for 20 years. To be a victim of a race gang, i.e., Pakistani Muslims, will be beating up a white kid, the police will turn up, and they will jump on the white kid. Every time, I’ve seen it my whole life.”

As he has spoken about this for 20 years and Henry’s murder occurred last December, he’s clearly not only referencing Henry’s murder. Surely you can understand that? if he’s been talking about it for 20 years, it would be unusual phrasing if he is only talking about one example that happened 20 years ago so it is reasonable to infer that there are multiple examples.

Although are you now claiming there has been '2-tier policing' for 20 years.

That is not my claim, but I take it you’ve heard of the grooming gangs that were specifically Pakistani Muslim (as opposed to other grooming gangs tho were treated somewhat differently and efforts were made to stop and prosecute them)? They are a prime example of two tier policing and the rapists were not operating in isolation. Members of the community were involved in attacking and threatening the families of the raped girls to silence them. I’m sure that has produced many more examples of two tier policing.

It's surprising that the likes of Nigel Farage haven't acted more quickly. Mind you, as someone else pointed out, maybe Nige was too busy accusing Henry Nowak's relatives of eating swans.

What a very odd but of whataboutery you have fabricated. Please provide evidence that Farage has ever mentioned Henry Nowaks relatives in relation to immigrants allegedly stealing swans. And what has stealing swans got to do with the murder of Henry Nowak?

Talk about using his murder to try and make a political point!!

Ah sorry, girl-pants. Are they starched bloomers by any chance?

Why can’t you just stick to the topic under debate rather than resorting to regular tedious insults? They add nothing to your arguments, quite the opposite.

If I shouted it at you in Words of one syllable and swore a bit, would that help you be less bored and confused?

Are you one of those women that pops up on MN with really low standards when it comes to men? Is that why a prospective MP who engages in rank misogyny is just met with a "Oh well that's just normal men innit?"? Raise your bar.

Edited

And again, what is the point of this load of rubbish. Can’t you debate without insulting and patronising all the time?

bloooooberry · Yesterday 11:03

Do you understand what he means by ‘two tier policing’ and providing relevant examples?

Are you really desperate to focus on how two tier policing works with Sikhs only? Why would that be?

I don’t need you to have hope for me thanks all the same. 👍

Well, firstly, two tier policing isn't a thing. I don't have any specific interest in taking attention off/putting it onto any religion, and I'm neither Sikh nor Muslim so don't particularly have stock in either, I'm Jewish. I'm just not stupid enough to buy into TR's rubbish.

NF said in September 2025 (as in, not very long ago) that Eastern Europeans were eating swans from Royal Parks, because where they come from, that’s acceptable.

I don’t think you need an explainer about where Poland is.

I responded to the points that poster had made. My response was not controversial, patronising or insulting in any way.
That poster chose to quote me, with a yawn emoji. Deliberately rude, belittling, and dismissive, when if they didn't want to engage they could have simply ignored me.
I'll not go looking for it, but when a poster takes the debate to that level, I don't think my response was unreasonable.

Maybe you need to look up how many countries there are in Eastern Europe and note that Poland is only one of them.

So he didn’t say that Henry Nowaks relatives were stealing swans as per your rather fanciful and clearly fabricated claim, did he.

How does the phrase “will be” (future tense) in relation to Pakistani Muslims refer to multiple events that have happened in the past as you claim?

Rubbish. Absolute rot.

The prevailing attitude from Charlie's Kirks political opponents was that although his views were heinous, he did not deserve to be murdered.

I would disagree with that

the mocking of his wife, a mother who has to deal with her children’s father being murdered, this being all over the internet knowing one day her children will likely see this has been shameful

She is being manipulated to keep his message going when most vulnerable (as all political wives are when their husbands have been murdered) and mocked by far too many on the left

Many on both sides prove again and again they are have little empathy

Yes because MPs are so squeaky clean aren't they, hello John Profumo? This barrel scraping is ridiculous. You've gone from being offended about a swear word to being offended on behalf of Carol Vorderman. If you're assessing the being fit for office, you had better be applying that assessment consistently.

That’s not my point, and you brought up the plumber.

It’s ok to be offended on behalf of Carol Vorderman or any woman who is on the receiving end of stomach-churning misogyny. After all, you’re here apparently offended by my OP.

It’s ok - just own “being offended” but please stop bringing in “and another thing, and another thing…” to deflect from the point of my OP.

Thanks.

I’m very familiar with the case as it happened in my town. Could not recognise it from the ‘facts’ you stated and only finally worked it out by putting together ‘Bailey’ + ‘Tommy Robinson’. I cannot believe how you are portraying that incident on this thread.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of that little mystery, @bloooooberry .

I'd been trying to find it too, but as virtually every detail was wrong, it was no surprise that I was unsuccessful. If only people would fact check before posting stuff, there might not be so much inflammatory shite on here.

Given that TR lost the libel case, perhaps @MNHQ should consider deleting the post that used a complete fiction to try and stir up hate.

Well exactly, it may be racist but it’s selective racism.

There’s no way of explaining which Eastern Europeans he meant without acknowledging that it was racist to someone.

But since what he said was Eastern Europeans, I’m happy to acknowledge that he was racist to them all, rather than just whatever is specifically convenient to guess now, because that’s what he said!

I was going to report it but honestly felt it was helpful as it shows how willingly people are prepared to absorb and spread false narratives. Funnily enough that poster went very quiet after I asked her whether this was the case she was referring to.

I prefer to deal with misogyny as an adult. I don't live in victimhood on behalf of others. I've dealt with more work placed sexism than I care to remember. It's called living in the real world, not a bubble. I can't stand the woman either so I'm even more non plussed. So you don't like swearing and misogyny. I think we've got it by now. It's how you deal with it that matters. Starmer could learn a thing or two about pragmatism, since you've derailed your thread. Say what you want about how this murder is being responded to, it won't be stopping people from having their eyes open.

Well it’s good to know you have no other objections to the points he made.

I guess he’s getting to mainstream opinion now.

I don’t know how on earth you read that into my post. A case of wilful misunderstanding, I expect.

As for the original issue, how anyone can NOT think that inserting ‘fucking’ into the name of a blameless victim, is despicable, is beyond me.

TBH I sometimes think it’d be a good idea for MNers to undergo some sort of reading comprehension test, before they’re allowed to post.
