Called DP a disrespectful **** in front of our friends

Views welcome on if I was OTT, this is a couple we are very close with for context. Over dinner at at a restaurant last night , we saw a group walk past who were all in ‘costume’, some sort of odd animal get up, onesies etc. We had a chuckle.

My friend jokingly said that is a normal night in the bedroom for us - to which my DP replied we never do dress up and ‘the most she allows is a finger up the arse’. I replied unkindly- swore at him and he said he was joking.

He claims I’ve had a sense of humour failure and over reacted in front of friends. WIBU?

This cannot be serious.

Renataz · Today 08:47

gross.

Evaka · Today 08:48

What the fuck? He's revolting.

Ace56 · Today 08:59

YANBU. He started it by discussing your sex life in a derogatory way, and now the poor baby is offended cos you called him a cunt? Diddums

sprigatito · Today 09:01

Why are you with him? I don’t mean that nastily, I genuinely wonder whether you might be happier away from someone who humiliates and objectifies you. He’s gross 🤮

hattie43 · Today 09:02

I wouldn’t ever be with someone who would say such a thing . Revolting. But if you then called him the C word you’re just as bad .

Notmyreality · Today 09:03

Your friend started it by bringing the bedroom into the conversation. He was just continuing in the same vein. Whether he went too far depends if this is typical conversational subject matter between you and your friends.

Monty36 · Today 09:03

Delightful. I cannot imagine a conversation remark like that in a restaurant with friends. Both ways.

Wait… who’s arse is getting fingered? This detail changes everything for me.

Overthehillmum63 · Today 09:05

Gross, and very juvenile.

MajorSamanthaCarter · Today 09:07

I'd say he thought he was answering in the same vein as your friend but totally misjudged it. Only you know if it's a deal breaker or not.

OP’s.

Anarchy99 · Today 09:19

When you say do you mean cunt? It helps to get some idea of how strong your insult was.

It sounds like you overreacted but in any case it’s pretty much universal on here that if a man calls his partner a cunt, its abusive and she should leave.

Darragon · Today 09:21

YANBU op, his comment was degrading and humiliating and there’s no universe where that comment can ever be ‘just a joke’. Really shitty of him. Glad you said something.

dewne · Today 09:22

Embarrassing

Kokonimater · Today 09:24

Is it normal in your friendship group to talk about your sex lives?
if not that was disgusting behaviour.

User711985 · Today 09:26

Why haven’t you said what you replied? I agree with @MajorSamanthaCarterthat we was going for a similar relply but bollocksed it up and only you can decide what you feel about it.

We have a couple we are friends with and sometimes the man says things about what his wife will and will not ‘let’ him do, not sexual stuff, just things like ‘better not have another drink, Jane won’t like that’ that sort of under the thumb vibe and my dh started doing it too and I took him aside and told him to pack it in.

Dressing up in the bedroom vs finger up the arse, is slightly different.

So you kink shamed someone and then didn't like it when it was done to you?

Are you all 14?

With that reading comprehension I must ask - are you 2?

Laughing at the furries maybe, though wearing a onesie doesn't necessarily equate to being a furry!
