Just watched the documentary.

I remember having tapes of her first album at the Primary school disco. I loved her edgier tracks, didn’t like the hot pants song, but loved Can’t get you out of my head’
The Jason Donovan phase was interesting and how miserable she looked on holiday when he was filming her and how quickly she appeared to move on to Michael Hutchence (spelling)
The cancer episodes were heartbreaking and I’m intrigued by her relationship with Dani.
She seems to glow and seems very kind hearted, but I still don’t get a sense of her as a person or who she is, no idea why?!

Loved the Netflix documentary. Jason didn’t come across well did he? Though was a lover scorned I suppose. No still don’t know the real her but I think she just loves performing and that is her.

I thought she came across as an absolutely lovely person. I really warmed to her.

She also didn’t touch upon feeling guilty/sad for leaving him etc. He seemed very ego driven

Yes, I think this is it, I want her to have more depth or more about her? Maybe she does, but I can’t see it. She was with MH though and the French guy, there must be more to her, plus very good friends with Nick Cave-I found this part interesting too

I really like her but I think maybe she is just very guarded.

She doesn’t come from a showbiz family - my cousin was her boyfriend at high school. They were just a ‘normal’ family.

Perhaps it’s a hangover from her relentless trashing in the press, when she was only a teenager. I look at my girls (19 and 21) and wonder how she survived! The Australian media really tore her apart for a while. I guess you’d be super cautious of showing too much of yourself after experiencing that.

Jason comes across as kind of bitter. It’s hardly unusual for teen romances to end once you hit your early 20’s. Kylie and Michael made the most gorgeous couple.

I’m not a fan of her music, really. We are the same age….I was more of a INXS/Midnight Oil/Cold Chisel girl. But I really do admire her tenacity in the face of such vitriol. And I’m sad she didn’t get to experience motherhood.

Yes he did seem a bit nasty…very bitter. Seems strange he’d still be so upset about it? Wouldn’t love that if I was his wife!

Yes the press were horrendous to her, really not nice.
She would have made such a wonderful mother i’m sure, it’s really sad
Was it Michael who left her? Every woman he was with seemed completely mesmerised by him

Really enjoyed the documentary but it looks like i'm in the minority as I really felt for Jason...at the end of the day, it sounds like Kylie cheated on him with MH whilst he was in the same room! ("they disappeared into the bathroom") and given the fact that he believed she was the woman he was going to marry and settle down with, he must have been devastated. You can see how bitter and emotional he is, even all these years later...sad. I was just watching and imagining the outrage if it had been the other way around and Jason had gone into a bathroom with another woman!!!

I’m 54 and when I was younger apart from the I Should Be So Lucky song I didn’t much like her songs, do like them a bit later. I recall when it was rumoured she’d had a boob job, we all thought yes. I admire her career, she’s done very well though. Just a bit boring to me.

Yes I found that a bit shocking, but Kylie didn’t express any apology or guilt for it? I wondered if they may not have properly been together at that point

I watched and felt I knew little more about her towards the end than I did at the beginning. But she was horribly used by Pete Waterman and I liked how she stood up for herself.

Jason Donovan was clearly still very bitter about their split, but Kylie lit up while talking about Michael H. He was clearly the love of her life, the one that got away.

I love Nick Cave but it’s obvious he has the massive horn for Kylie and that’s why he’s so into her

The impression I got was that she left him because she was fed up with his drug taking and womanising.
