AIBU to wear denim shorts in my 60s?

What are the thoughts of people who see a woman in their 60s in denim shorts (Not bum showing or ripped), paired with a 100 stars throw over and white linen top.

Am I pushing my luck?? I have pretty good legs!

I can't say I'm terribly bothered, but I just wondered what people thought. Perhaps I should be damned ... !

Of course YANBU and who cares what anyone else thinks? If you like them, wear them.

Wear what you like. It’s a real shame if older women feel they can’t wear shorts in the summer.

I do - in my 70s. Knee length so I think it's very similar to wearing a skirt.

I wore shorts in London today. They aren’t denim though but if I had denim shorts I’d wear them. I’m 66.

Glad to hear it! Mine are shorter but I don't think obscene - just measured, 27cm.

My MIL wore shorts into her 80s. She was fabulous, we should all be more like her.

Of course you can wear shorts. I'm not embarrassed to wear my denim shorts and I'm approaching 67 (and my legs aren't great).

Teehee! Know that one well. I've always been pretty eccentric in my dress. I loved my victorian bloomers when I was 16. Currently getting more and more into colour, rather than too many years of black and silver. It's liberating! And I don't give a flying ... bat.

I'm 68, and earlier this year I bought a 3 pack of shorts from Next, one of which is denim.

I'm in my 50s and wear them, no intention of stopping when I hit 60!

I have terrible legs and happily wear them. Also in my 60s.

I shop with my DD's, 29-40 years old. I often carry their clothes, they want to try on, in Primark/New Look/River etc. I've had a few comments about 'the size of her with them', they think they are insulting me, but I'm glad they don't say 'the age of her'. Wear what you want. The recent thread on here shows people judge the most normal clothing.
