How long it took to go down to normal again?

I have the most embarrassing bruises and puffiness ever and also an appointment with my psychiatrist on Monday (these two things are not related I just don't want him to think I'm madder than usual)

If you are my psychiatrist and it hasn't died down by Monday I guess this is pretty outing

They don't look it - sorry - but they look like they have had filler.

@ExOptimist that was a couple of years ago, menopause has completely reduced the volume now - I'm booked in to have it done but only 0.3ml to start with

@CollectingAllTheACEs It’s a well known fact that everyone on Mumsnet despises lip fillers. And they are ALL EXPERTS on how shit it looks. Which is incredible given that only a tiny proportion, if any, will be practitioners.

@Smoothquark it's from two years ago before menopause robbed me of full lips - booked in next month to get just 0.3ml filler to start with. But it's proof that you can't always tell and that some people have a natural ridge above their lips

Off the point slightly, but I’ve never had any lip filler, but have been asked if I’ve had my lips ‘done’ by supposedly eagle-eyed folk on more than one occasion and even accused of lying about it by one rather rude person! I have a slightly shelf-like upper lip naturally and full bottom lips.

Despite being 'only 39' I had to have a surgical hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis and have seriously been suffering in terms of the impact on my body, skin, etc. Not that it's any of your fucking business

I have a natural ridge above my top lip as well (but definitely not had lip filler) and a few people have asked me recently if I’ve had them filled. Anyway, that aside, your skin looks amazing in that photo.

I lip read. I can tell as the mouth moves differently when you’ve had filler.
