Today, Wales and Scotland are voting for who will govern their National Parliaments and England are voting in their local elections.

I voted this morning and it was super quick. I was in and out in two minutes.

Have you voted yet?

No.

SpiceGirlsNeedAComeBack · 07/05/2026 13:26

Nope, we voted last year & let me tell you without whose in power of our local council everyone is full of sorrows & regret.

7238SM · 07/05/2026 13:26

Yes, weeks go via postal vote.

woowu · 07/05/2026 13:27

No, and I won’t be.

PurpleLovecats · 07/05/2026 13:27

No elections here.

But I always vote when they are in my area as I think I am so lucky to be in a position where I have a voice and can use it.

So many women worldwide are not afforded that opportunity.

Periperi2025 · 07/05/2026 13:27

Yes (Wales)

MintTwirl · 07/05/2026 13:28

Nope, I have always voted but this time I have no idea who to vote for at all. I feel so disillusioned about it tbh.

frozendaisy · 07/05/2026 13:28

Yes

BIWI · 07/05/2026 13:28

Yes.

Sally2791 · 07/05/2026 13:29

Yes, always vote.

TheEyesOfLucyJordon · 07/05/2026 13:29

Not yet. I'll be going up after work 😍

Clarinet1 · 07/05/2026 13:30

I sent off my postal vote about 10 days ago.

i have to say that it’s apathetic people who don’t bother to vote at all who let the extremist candidates through so please use your vote!

StitchHappens · 07/05/2026 13:30

Yes

Wynter25 · 07/05/2026 13:30

No

dizzydizzydizzy · 07/05/2026 13:30

I tried. I went to the polling station that I have been going to for the last few years to discover that I had been assigned a different polling station. I assume it was on my polling card but I did not see any local news about this. None of my neighbours knew either. I’ll be going out later to try again .

Yes, I’m the same too. I’ve never missed an opportunity to vote.

My DM wasn’t going to bother this time round, but she saw the polls and realised how close it may be. She quickly changed her mind and cast her vote.

I think you mean some of England are voting today. Lots of us are not.

AllaMova · 07/05/2026 13:32

woowu · 07/05/2026 13:27

No, and I won’t be.

Not even to spoil your ballot? At least, then you’d be exercising your right to vote without voting for a particular candidate.

Every ballot is counted.

Fair enough, I had no idea (I’m not based in England.)

Not yet. I probably will do if I’m home in time as I’m at work at the moment and out this evening. If not it doesn’t particularly matter. It is a district council election for a district which will be abolished in 6 months time and form part of a totally different unitary authority so all a bit pointless.

EmailsaysOOO · 07/05/2026 13:37

Yes. My constitutional duty

boys3 · 07/05/2026 13:39

No, no elections here.

I can’t see the turnout for the areas with locals in England being greatly up if at all Though good if it was.
