Whoever you are voting for today, it's probably not Labour - they might loose 2,000 seats.

How long exactly will it be before he resigns?

Keir Starmer comes a cross as emotionless and therefore “hate” may be an emotion to much for him. It is enough that he doesn’t consider me “working people”, that hurts.

But I know that Rayner and Philipson would definitely hate me.

And Steve Reed, well he hates everyone except for Starmer.

Fair.

I struggle with the term ‘hate’ because I do not ‘hate’ anyone. I utterly despise Starmer and many of his cabinet/MP’s, and yes, you are probably right, they may well hate some of us.

I look at the sneering and nasty rhetoric that has previously come from Starmer, Rayner, Reeves, and Philipson - very nasty stuff. I will never forgive or forget.

Viviennemary · 10/05/2026 14:12

He really doesn't care about anybody but himself. It's not a very nice trait.

Haha at that last line.

Nigel Farage has said that Reform-run councils could stop housing migrants who arrive in Britain under government resettlement schemes.

The Reform leader said his party would “look very hard at leaving” the programmes, which provided accommodation for thousands of asylum seekers.

Writing for The Telegraph after Reform triumphed in the local elections, Mr Farage said authorities led by his party would “always put the needs of local people first”.

Farage, for his faults - he gets it.

climbintheback · 10/05/2026 14:21

They’ve already relocated more than 30,000 plus their families and funnily enough the British Army doesn’t know exactly what they did!

Until his rhetoric collides with reality. Hopefully it will never be tested.

Well, he will be trying to execute the mandate he has been given.

Would you not prioritise local people over immigrants?

Great post - may I add:

Because she has a backbone.

No, I think all lives have equal value.

For goodness sake Keir should Resign now.My parents are Tory but even they would vote Andy burnham should he get a seat.

West is not well known - probably not known at all in general terms - and I strongly think she’ll become a pub quiz answer soon enough, in a question that contains the words “challenge” and “failed”.

But it’s an interesting intervention because she’s unlikely to be bothered by Reform. As a London MP she’s been rattled by the Green surge. Her council went NOC from Labour with Greens as the biggest party. Before Thursday Labour had a 43 seat majority with not a single Green councillor.

If London Labour MPs are expressing a wish to chuck Starmer out, it’s got very perilous for him.

Catherine West is a Corbynista enjoying putting the boot in.

A very odd response to a housing question.

In any event, last Thursday's results are informative.

@ilovesooty , variety is the spice of life. You think West is a fame seeking nonentity.

Maybe she should have auditioned for X Factor, isn’t that the home of such like people?

Yep and the results from Thursday are there and reflect what the public think of Starmer. Labour can focus on CW of think about what to do on their major issue.

Do nothing and see how Reform do.
