White bread, butter, beef or chicken paste, crisps, done! It’s the crisp of the crisps when you put the top slice of bread on and press down…I’m wfh tomorrow and 100% having this for my lunch now!

Toast sandwich. Seriously. Three slices of white bread, toast one. Butter the other two, put the toast between, squash not too firmly and cut how you like.

That’s why you put loads of butter in! 😉

Grated cheese, butter and quavers is also good 😍

One of my most missed foods. I was diagnosed diabetic Sept 2024 and haven’t had a crisp sandwich since, carb-on-carb is a big no-no so now I just occasionally dream and drool at the idea while eating my green food and trying to feel good about it.

This with Kerrygold butter.

There is no better combination.

Remember DH making me one a few days before I gave birth. Best thing ever, has to be salt and vinegar walkers, lurpak and thick cheap white bread.

White bread, butter, strong cheddar, pickled onions or red onion chutney, with salt and vinegar crisps. I eat this sandwich far too often but it is so good. I live abroad now, had a crisp sandwich at work and everyone was gobsmacked, so I guess its just a British thing.

This is the exact sort of thread I needed to see today, thank you! Absolutely love a crisp sandwich. Has to be white bread, lots of butter and ready salted crisps. I also like it with cheese sometimes if I’m feeling wild.

Apparently a toast sandwich was the nations favourite sandwich one year. Completely ridiculous and unbelievable. I'm sure it's delicious but not the best ever.

Really?! I had no idea. I'd never heard of it, and made it up myself (or so I thought) when younger.
