Absolutely! Proper crisps though, none of the corn puff nonsense. I like cheese & onion crisps in a sandwich.

Salt and Vinegar crisps are the best for this.

With cheddar cheese, and sometimes pickled onions as well. Or even some Branston in there.

It’s not because you have butter on the bread! Like anything else. A cheese sandwich would also be dry if you didn’t put butter on, or ham or many things!

Proper butter though, cheap white bread, salt and vinegar crisps.

i love plain, smokey bacon or prawn cocktail crisp sandwiches with ketchup

My go to is white bread, proper butter, ham, walkers salt and vinegar and then really squish it down. Wash it down with builders tea and then follow with a Cadbury’s Boost.

Died and gone to heaven. Especially if you get to eat it on your own with no DH or kids wittering on.

one of my grandchildren (4) got all food fussy, but i can get him to eat his cheese sandwiches. Created a fun activity crushing the crisps (cheese and onion) in to the sandwiches.

it is our picnic ritual now.

Daughter thinks it is funny and explained to dad who was 😮that it was a British thing.
