Who's belittling it? All hate crimes are disgusting and this is not a competition.

Yet, the fact is that 45% of religious hate crimes are against Muslims while 29% are against Jews!!

Let's look at the maths. Given that the Muslim community is 14 times the size of the Jewish one, clearly Jews are disproportionately affected by hate crimes.

Simple maths shows that the Jewish community is NINE TIMES more affected by hate crime than the Muslim one. Jews are clearly more targeted and more vulnerable.

Why is this such an issue for you? It's not a zero sum game.

Great we’re agreed all hate crimes whether it’s against the Jewish community or against the Muslim community are equally abhorrent.

Kemi Badenoch refuses to speak to women in burkas at surgeries thus making them voiceless and describes public Muslim prayers as an act of domination -very much designed to whip up hate.

She isn’t fit to govern.

That's not a hate crime. She doesn't want to talk to people when she can't see their faces, that's nothing to do with Islam.

She has focused now on antisemitism because everyone else is ignoring it.
The fact that you're so desperate to bring back the focus on to Muslims when the Jewish community is NINE times more likely to suffer a hate crime. Nine times!! A little bit of recognition of just how targeted British Jews are would go a long way.

It’s disrespectful to religious beliefs and actually lets down Muslim women ( think we see a theme here as regards women)in the area she serves.

She said she won’t allow face coverings like burkas or balaclavas.

A previous Labour Home Secretary Jack Straw said the same thing about face coverings as he said conversation worked better without them.

They could insist, it wouldn't matter.

Shes not forcing them to remove.the burqa but she doesn't want to talk to anyone whose face she can't see.

BTW, women don't have to have to wear a burqa in Islam.

Representing and working with her constituents isn’t a matter of choice. It’s her job to engage with them regardless of personal preference. She wouldn’t have the choice if she worked in a shop.

I really like Kemi. She is composed and direct. She doesn't hide behind a wall of waffle and hand-wringing when asked a question. I like her manner and her policies.

Kemi has the distinct air of a PM-in-waiting.

Without any of the bullshit peddled by Starmer when he was electioneering in 2024.

Badenoch will never be PM. The in-waiting part is a fantasy. Someone (was it you?) posted a poll showing the vast majority of the public don't see her as that.

Good job the next general election isn't for three years. (Presuming that when Labour jettison Starmer they don't replace him with a loon who will frogmarch us to bankruptcy)

Let us take a moment to prepare to rejoice at what is coming later.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Muslim countries. Of course it’s fine. Women will remove head coverings etc when they know they are in a space with only women present. This is why the gender neutral toilet/rest rooms will never exist in Muslim countries.

Scotland isn't Labour's to lose. For someone apparently so interested in UK politics, it is shocking and rather strange that you don't know that.
