Kemi is a fake.
A con artist and a scammer

You mean she scares you shitless because she makes sense.

Desperatelyseekinglazysusan · 06/06/2026 15:32

I suspect that Reform will make such a hash of local government that many people who voted for them will go back to the Tories. Former Labour supporters who voted Reform may well go back but I don't think they will if Burnham tacks Left as the backbenchers want him to. But if he doesn't then he will have the same problems that Starmer has had with them. I actually also think The Greens will crash and burn too. They are also held together by Gaza at the moment but they are delulu if they think the Muslim voters they courted think men can be women. Not to mention all the old environmentalists who see nothing left of the party they joined.

@Dexternight

Would you like to provide evidence of those allegations?

Yes I did see the council results. I and others are pointing out to you that your claim about Kemi's poll ratings and popularity is demonstrably wrong.
I don't think you're crazy, so I'm not about to run anywhere and say so.
But the question was a simple one - if you don't like Kemi, who would you prefer as PM? Someone has to do it, so who? Its Starmer/Burnham, Kemi, Farage, Ed, or Zach.

Edited

Kemi Badenoch is the leader of the Tories and the Tories' ratings are low. Yet she is supposedly amazing. Disconnect. Or do the Tories' ratings have nothing to do with her? It's a bit depressing if the argument is that she must be amazing because she is the best of an awful bunch. Who I would choose from that bunch is irrelevant.

You seem a bit put out, are you on the Starmer thread? Your posting style is familiar.

I don’t see how anyone can say Kemi doing badly against other leaders on most metrics. The only party who can say they’re doing better with votes is Reform.

No I am not. You do seem somewhat fixated on it though.

As do you on my posts. It’s just a political party, the walls won’t cave in if you say who you vote for. You might not have any upper hand, in fact if it’s anyone other than Reform you’re likely lagging.

She is amazing in spite of the Tories. That's one woman who would be highly sought after in private industry.

Its not irrelevant that you won't say at all. My guess is that you are either a shy Labour or Green supporter. I understand why you wouldn't admit to that, but its a bit rich trying to put Kemi down when your preferred leader's polling is likely much worse.
We will all have to choose which of the leaders will be our next PM. I choose Kemi.

It doesn't matter who I vote for. It is irrelevant to the thread and to my argument. End of.

The thread is about Kemi. She is the most popular leader right now. Why can't you accept that?

Yes exactly. Not many are in a better position.

Exactly. And that is why Burnham may go for a quick GE if becomes leader. He knows that if he waits, conservatives will gain ground back from Reform, and he may also show himself as useless as Starmer. Risky game though, as we could end up with Reform.

Do you open all the gifted links I post from The Times too? I think you'll find the comments section most enlightening.

I won't be pressurised by you and your cronies to give any personal information away that I don't want to. Telling that you feel the need to know when anyone says Saint Kemi is anything but amazing.

LuckyHazelFox · 06/06/2026 16:24

Cronies? That's rich given how many times posters are harangued over their support if it's not for Labour. If by cronies you mean a pack, well I guess that worm is turning.

Exactly 💯
Which is why I started that thread. MN wasn't exactly welcoming for posters who didn't support Labour.

I know! I remember the general elections where everyone said they were going to/had voted Labour, but conservatives won by a landslide. But if you told anyone you voted anything by Labour you got an earful. It was 'cool' to vote Labour. 'Quirky' to vote lib dem and 'you are the spawn of the devil' if you voted Tory.

It's like Brexit. Absolutely no one admits to voting leave as scared if getting moaned at. But more than half did!
