Everything about "zack Polanski" is fake - he was born David Paulden. He was never a "spokesman" for the Red Cross. He scammed women with fake hypnotism, He is a actor with a completely invented persona, he's no politician, he's a snake oil salesman. How can anyone vote for him?

Absolutely correct. I've found it very strange that posters believe that because some of us think that ZP is a dangerous grifter who shouldn't be in charge of a political party at all, we therefore support that other dangerous populist, Farage. This is patently untrue of those of us who can see through both of them as being the two sides of the same coin.

Exactly

Only wishy-washy middle class luvvies vote Green, anyone with a bit of common sense knows they are in no position to ever run the country.

I think that was true in the past but the party has now changed beyond recognition and new members tend to be of the far left (ex Corbynista) variety who have abandoned Your Party.

Absolutely agree.

@Twiglets1 has apologised for her mistake @8.43.
Perhaps you missed that post.
There was no lie at all.
Perhaps you should apologise to her @Ellen2shoes

I have no idea what is "dangerous" about Farage. He seems a bit insincere and maybe untrustworthy but I haven't heard him say anything dangerous.

Menopausalsourpuss · 07/05/2026 09:00

It depends what you mean by moderate. Alot of (most) people would think the extremists are the politicians who have wrecked the country in the last 25 years and want to go back to the sensible 90s when we had a moderate immigration policy, much lower taxes, no mad net zero policies that no one else in the world follows, and low debt as a country.

The 1990s - when young people could actually afford to leave home.

Ellen2shoes · 07/05/2026 09:02

Stick to the facts? You’ve just lied about which paper ‘uncovered the story’!

Ridiculous comparison- the Guardian wrote a long article on it which I will post later as currently on my mobile

The Greens are doing well - other parties feel threatened and therefore are desperately trying to smear them, hence all these threads suddenly appearing.
No other reason. I'm voting Green instead of Labour locally. The Green Party in my town have been amazing for many, many years. The majority in my town agree and we are a very mixed and cultured bunch.

The Green Party of ‘many, many years’ is COMPLETELY different to the current version. It has been hijacked by neo-communists.

Please read their policies - it’ll only take you 15 minutes, and if you still feel compelled to vote for them, so be it.

TheGrimSmile · 07/05/2026 09:07

Here we go again. Smear campaigns just like with Jeremy Corbyn. It's so fucking predictable and depressing.

Monty36 · 07/05/2026 09:08

It used to be a Green Party and worried about the planet etc but it has been taken over by other interests.
The man is an oddball. And would be tossed out like a hot potato once he is seen to have served his usefulness.
The voters he is courting will detest him. But he serves a useful purpose.

Clavinova · 07/05/2026 09:12

Lemonthyme
even though you do need to declare anything from 12 months before you became an MP

To be fair, your quote from the Code of Conduct doesn't say 'anything' - it says
'any registrable benefits'. Presumably Farage is arguing that the £5 million 'security money' is not a registrable benefit. We shall see.

But it’s because they are all rattled. The Greens are doing well and a real threat. Otherwise they would be completely ignored as usual, actually makes me hopeful. I have met ZP and his partner and find him to be a very honest, thoughtful and impressive young man.

ZP Has no need of smear campaigns. He has dug his own grave with his stupidity. Hypnotherapy to grow your boobs? Lying about the Red Cross? Why would he even think that was a good idea?
Even if the Greens win local council seats today that is no harbinger of a General Election in 2029.
Corbyn may be a good local MP but he was next to useless at being leader of the Labour Party.

I am voting in a LOCAL election today. The local green party here are excellent. They are consistently community focused and are doing great locally.
They have proved their worth and they are getting my vote.

.I agree that today is about local elections not national ones and yet people seem to think it's all about getting rid of Keir Starmer. If it was a GE today would you vote for Zac Polanski's Green Party? If so, why?

I agree, however, when the local elections campaigning officially began, I saw Polanski on the news talking about economic boycotts of Israel and "ending the Genocide". I wish he'd stuck to local concerns in this instance, at least.

Here we go again. Smear campaigns just like with Jeremy Corbyn. It's so fucking predictable and depressing.

A political smear campaign is a deliberate, strategic effort by an opponent, party, or their allies to destroy a political figure's reputation through distortion, selective truth, or outright fabrication - with the goal of making them unelectable or forcing them out of public life.

Judging people for the things they say, the things they do, or the things they support, is not "smearing".

I mean really? This is all you can come up with? In comparison to 99% of other politicians that’s pretty tame in the scandal stakes! 🤣

This, x 💯.
Why don't people think ZP should take responsibility for what he's said and done?

I haven't decided yet to be honest.

Quite possibly though, and just some of the reasons would be because I believe in diplomacy, actively working on peaceful resolution instead of escalating conflict and the protection of human rights.

I agree OP and cannot understand his popularity. Akthough not a greens voter I always thought Caroline Lucas came across as genuine. I wonder what she makes of Zack Polanski.

She supports him. She joined him for a live podcast in February in Brighton and retweeted a post of his on 4 May. She has also expressed that there is no place for antisemitism or hate in the party and has said that the statements from a handful of GP candidates are unacceptable.

No point in discussing with you since you've 'met ZP and his partner and find him to be a very honest, thoughtful and impressive young man.' I hear that other populist politicians in the past were also described thus.😂

What are you talking about? That apology was not to me and has no relevance to the topic that we were discussing where she falsely said The Guardian’uncovered the story’ of the Red Cross . Dear God this is very tiresome. I won’t ask you for an apology as I’m leaving the thread now. To much misinformation and too time consuming for me!

Also, 43 isn't "young". He's old enough to take responsibility.
