Everything about "zack Polanski" is fake - he was born David Paulden. He was never a "spokesman" for the Red Cross. He scammed women with fake hypnotism, He is a actor with a completely invented persona, he's no politician, he's a snake oil salesman. How can anyone vote for him?

No point in discussing with you since you've 'met ZP and his partner and find him to be a very honest, thoughtful and impressive young man.' I hear that other populist politicians in the past were also described thus.😂

Guess what, I have an opinion based on real conversations with the actual person involved not made up second hand bollocks in the media? 🧐

She supports him. She joined him for a live podcast in February in Brighton and retweeted a post of his on 4 May. She has also expressed that there is no place for antisemitism or hate in the party and has said that the statements from a handful of GP candidates are unacceptable.

A handful? I have read a report that 30 candidates are being investigated for antisemitism, but correct me if that's wrong.
A "handful" is still a problem. The Greens need to get rid of this bigotry and hatred.

A 'handful' is a particular problem when the deputy leader is calling allegations part of a smear campaign. It doesn't suggest it is taken seriously.

Speaking to Walter Titty face to face isn't possible for most people, so it's not really a win to get haughty over the fact that you've had the pleasure. It should be obvious that the media is how almost everyone will find out about him. If he can't stop doing and saying stupid things that will be reported there (they're not made up just because they're damaging), then he's not clever or principled enough for the position.

Yes. I saw Rachel Millward on the BBC Politics show, similarly minimising the problem and, in all honesty, appearing completely inept.
Her co Deputy, Mothin Ali should perhaps take action if she and ZP can't?

The Green Party are a mix now of the old Socialist Workers Party and some sort of Islamic party.
How that works I have no idea.
But green issues they will not be focused on at all. You might get the odd councillor locally who is. But the main party, nope.

Yes, it's become a strange hybrid.

Brilliant.

Love it 😂

I have no idea what is "dangerous" about Farage. He seems a bit insincere and maybe untrustworthy but I haven't heard him say anything dangerous.

  • Mass deportation of immigrants (that's likely to reduce the NHS and care system to absolute destruction. Possibly his aim.)
  • Slashing public spending is likely to vastly increase inequality. His proposals will give tax cuts to the wealthiest. That's likely to impact women and kids the most. His low tax regime is exactly what Truss wanted to do. How did that work out?
  • Anti human rights. He's proposing to leave the ECHR and doing so under the guise it will only remove "foreigners" rights. That's the thing about human rights. They apply if you like the person or not. He's proposing removing your rights.
  • Climate change denial. Much as we're only a small part of a global effort, he wants to roll back on this which won't just damage the planet but also damage exports as other countries and companies take account of scope 3 emissions they won't want to import from us.
  • Scrapping the online safety act. Doesn't seem all that bothered about women's safety. This is to protect against things like revenge porn.
  • Intimidation. For example, threatening to put immigrant detention centres in green voting areas. Er... Are these going to be camps where we concentrate people?

I'm being a little reactionary with the last comment but it's not far off the truth is it?

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 07/05/2026 10:30

Where do you get all this information from?

Lemonthyme · 07/05/2026 10:30

Clavinova · 07/05/2026 09:12

Lemonthyme
even though you do need to declare anything from 12 months before you became an MP

To be fair, your quote from the Code of Conduct doesn't say 'anything' - it says
'any registrable benefits'. Presumably Farage is arguing that the £5 million 'security money' is not a registrable benefit. We shall see.

But it is. He's someone who has donated to his party extensively. It's very likely if not virtually impossible to claim this was in no way political. Because for one, even if it was for protection, he wouldn't need it if he was still working in the city as a commodities trader. But he is a politician and was an MP within 12 months of receiving that money. Hence, it's declarable.

But as I said, it's likely all he'll get is a small tap on the knuckles and those who think a mate giving you £5 million and not wanting anything in return is just an every day occurrence will carry on voting for the odious grifter.

What are you talking about? That apology was not to me and has no relevance to the topic that we were discussing where she falsely said The Guardian’uncovered the story’ of the Red Cross . Dear God this is very tiresome. I won’t ask you for an apology as I’m leaving the thread now. To much misinformation and too time consuming for me!

Here we go ... the Guardian article from April 2026 re the £5M gift. This was the story being discussed re which paper uncovered it, not the Red Cross story so you got your wires crossed there.

Exclusive: Nigel Farage was given undisclosed £5m by crypto billionaire in 2024

Nigel Farage was given £5m by the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne shortly before announcing he would stand in the 2024 British general election, the Guardian can reveal.

Farage had stated he did not intend to stand as a prospective MP but U-turned in June 2024, within weeks of receiving the personal gift from the Thailand-based businessman.

In July 2024, Farage became an MP for the first time and has since stated he now expects to become prime minister at the next general election.

After being approached by the Guardian about the gift, neither he nor Harborne provided a comment – instead lawyers for Reform UK and Harborne pleaded for more time. Farage then confirmed to the Daily Telegraph that he had received the gift, saying it was to pay for his personal security.

Until that point neither Harborne nor Farage had spoken publicly about the £5m gift. At the time of the gift, Farage had not announced that he would run for the seat of Clacton.

MPs said that Farage should have declared it. Parliamentary rules state that any benefits should be declared for the 12 months before taking up office as an MP, depending on whether it was for political or personal purposes. The rules state: “If there is any doubt, the benefit should be registered.”

Asked on Monday by the Guardian about the gift, Reform sent a legal letter asking for more time to respond. The deadline was extended until Wednesday morning. The Telegraph then published its interview with Farage before the deadline.

🤣 laughable.

What, the fact that it's ridiculous to sneer at people because they can't have personal face to face discussions with public figures? The fact that he isn't fit for office if he doesn't understand how media work, or that it will report stupid stuff he says and does?

And it's other people's fault if they think he's knob? And you doing an emoji will... refute that?

SoberannSerene · 07/05/2026 11:07

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 07/05/2026 09:16

But it’s because they are all rattled. The Greens are doing well and a real threat. Otherwise they would be completely ignored as usual, actually makes me hopeful. I have met ZP and his partner and find him to be a very honest, thoughtful and impressive young man.

Maybe he hypnotised you

That particular lie - that he had been a spokesman for the Red Cross - was uncovered by the Guardian.

Hardly the “right wing media” you mentioned earlier, are they?

Who got whose wires crossed?

Ellen2shoes · 07/05/2026 11:13

For a moment when I saw you’d quoted me I actually thought you were going to apologise!

Whether it's "a handful" or many, the question should be - what is attracting such people to the Greens?

The denialism from Zack and his defenders is very like the denialism in Labour between 2015 and 2019. But Labour had a majority of sensible members, councillors and MPs who were able to regain control of the party and expel or deter the antisemites. Many of the latter have since joined the Greens.

Jeremy Corbyn had a burst of popularity but was soon found out. I think this is already happening to Zack.

That's a very good question and one which the Green Party, or their followers are unable to answer.

Ablondiebutagoody · 07/05/2026 12:05

Seems like Zack has been fiddling his council tax too. What is it with these high tax supporting politicians?
