Everything about "zack Polanski" is fake - he was born David Paulden. He was never a "spokesman" for the Red Cross. He scammed women with fake hypnotism, He is a actor with a completely invented persona, he's no politician, he's a snake oil salesman. How can anyone vote for him?

Seems like Zack has been fiddling his council tax too. What is it with these high tax supporting politicians?

Ah lots of low tax supporting ones fiddle it too. Look at Tice.

  • Mass deportation of immigrants (that's likely to reduce the NHS and care system to absolute destruction. Possibly his aim.)
  • Slashing public spending is likely to vastly increase inequality. His proposals will give tax cuts to the wealthiest. That's likely to impact women and kids the most. His low tax regime is exactly what Truss wanted to do. How did that work out?
  • Anti human rights. He's proposing to leave the ECHR and doing so under the guise it will only remove "foreigners" rights. That's the thing about human rights. They apply if you like the person or not. He's proposing removing your rights.
  • Climate change denial. Much as we're only a small part of a global effort, he wants to roll back on this which won't just damage the planet but also damage exports as other countries and companies take account of scope 3 emissions they won't want to import from us.
  • Scrapping the online safety act. Doesn't seem all that bothered about women's safety. This is to protect against things like revenge porn.
  • Intimidation. For example, threatening to put immigrant detention centres in green voting areas. Er... Are these going to be camps where we concentrate people?

I'm being a little reactionary with the last comment but it's not far off the truth is it?

All this and the fact that Reform is his own limited company not a political party which has members who can vote on policies elect the leader etc. He is not intending to allow any democracy inside Reform. And no democracy in England either if he's ever in power. Very dangerous fascist as his school mates will testify eg telling a Jewish pupil Hitler was right etc etc. I guess his voters have the necessary £ 400 plus per month to pay for their medical care once he's sold off the NHS to Donald Trump.

Has he literally hijacked the Muslim vote and given a message that the will tax into infinity the millionaires and billionaires.

No billionaire or even millionaire will be living next to his Mum who does his washing. They will be long gone. Over 90% of our businesses in the UK are small business (I believe under 35 people).

People like my hairdresser who has been hit very hard. Once with NI increase, then with NMW and then with all the online shopping for premimum haircare that strand has gone too. He was going to take on another trainee. That isnt happening and I suspect he will close down and become a session stylist as he already does a lot of fashion shows. My son was working in a pub between jobs. He was run off his feet. People complaining about the cost of their drinks, one person even took out a couple of cans during their dinner. No option to take on anyone else. He has now left but this isnt a good message.

Good to see that the Newcastle Greens have withdrawn support for these two candidates - but did they have no idea what vile, racist bigots they were in the first place?
Were there no clues?

Newcastle Greens axe support for antisemitism-accused candidates

The candidates are subject to an ongoing national disciplinary process, Newcastle Greens say.

It would have taken barely any time for someone in the party to look at their social media before choosing them.

I wonder if they'll be let back in to the party if they win?

I know. I find it hard to believe that all this rabid stuff has gone under the radar. This is hardline antisemitism, and it must have been apparent.

Meadowfinch · 07/05/2026 15:34

Why would we want someone who used to make his living exploiting vulnerable women, as a political leader.

It's completely illogical.

AInightingale · 07/05/2026 15:50

I've known one hypnotist irl, and he was a right wrong'un.

SunnyAfternoonToday · 07/05/2026 15:55

In last night's interview the moronic leader of The Greens said he does not think any country, including Israel, has the right to exist. The Green Party leader appeared to suggest that the belief the Jewish state had a right to exist was “semantics”. He also indicated that he did not believe Britain had an inherent right to exist when asked about his views by ITV’s Robert Peston.
He said: “I don’t believe any country has a right to exist. People have a right to exist, the Israelis have a right to exist, the Palestinians have a right to exist.”

How does a people exist without a homeland Mr Polanski? #askingforafriend

So no Palestinian homeland either? That’ll go down well. What exactly are they planning to recognise?

Is it all linked to the "open borders" idea?
Palestine doesn't have a right to exist?
That's definitely not going to go down well with the Green Gazan crew.

Tice was cleared though.
Polanski was living on a canal boat with his boyfriend for 3 years but claimed he wasn’t living there.

AInightingale · 07/05/2026 16:36

'I don't believe any country has the right to exist'??? Er, there is such a thing as sovereignty, Zack. I really can't believe the descendant of Polish Jews would come with a statement of such blithering idiocy as that.

It's very odd, it's as if he doesn't understand history, politics or economics at all.

I think he is a chancer with an ever increasing ego and now he has the taste for power he is going for it at any cost

I don’t believe what he says he really believes but playing into antisemitism he is happy to do to gain votes, he knows this fraction of the left of politics as we all do

there are many like him in politics and of course many who are not, I do think people are starting to view him less
favourably and now the press are far more focused on him he shall keep making ridiculous statements because his supporters will come out fighting and he will just dig his own grave

I suspect he will not be around for too long but the damage will be significant and that’s really sad as many have worked tirelessly for the Greens

Then again the work people have done for the Greens won’t necessarily be lost.

They could replace their leader as other parties have done in the past when the leadership becomes tainted? A new leader would have to commit to taking a harder line against antisemitic Green candidates though.

Yes it’s not the end of the party but I do think for some time it shall be difficult for them to move on but Labour did though there support is far greater

Ridiculous hyperbole. He's said he's going to deport illegal immigrants who aren't (or shouldn't be) working in the NHS. Most normal people support that. Most people (like you) don't understand this country is in massive debt which is growing daily with falling GDP per capita - we are 25th in the world and about to be overtaken by Eastern European countries that work alot harder like Poland - so public spending is going to have to be cut by whoever gets in next if we don't have a financial crash first

ECHR - only incorporated in UK law since 98 and as an older person believe me things were alot better before then and we could deport foreign rapists etc. Climate change and online safety act don't know enough to debunk but expect you're wrong about those too. Nothing wrong with detention centres -no other country that I know puts up migrants in hotels including your beloved EU (expect you're a rabid remainer too).

Is anybody actually planning on watching the coverage tonight? Apparently most of the council/ the Welsh and Scots counts don't start until the morning, so how exactly the news channels are going to fill eight hours with only a handful of counts is beyond me.

By “handful of counts” you presumably mean Starmer, Badenoch, Farage and Polanski.

AInightingale · 07/05/2026 23:11

Oh, apparently it's 46 to declare tonight. Not quite the 'only a few' as the BBC described it.

ilovebrie8 · 08/05/2026 14:24

Has Polanski been spotted in today?
