Well and the conservatives who ran the country in to the ground when they had the chance not to, but now they're in opposition have all the answers

Just like Labour. Before he won, Starmer had all the answers. But when he won, he hadn't a clue what to do, and just ordered loads of inquiries/studies. Considering he had months to prepare during which the polls showed a very high likelihood of him winning, you'd have thought he'd have some plans to implement immediately. But apparently not. Just damaging ones like the IHT raid on farmers and VAT on private education. Obviously too busy with his pet "politics of envy" changes to appease the baying mobs on the left and forgot about real policies to actually improve and grow the economy. Nearly two years on and he's still done nothing to improve business/economic growth.

@WaffleBombis right, maybe avoid using it.

Polanski innit
love not war man
stop spending on bombs and spend on feeding starving kids
wealth taxes 4eva
SCRAP PRISONS, NOW

I personally don't think stop spending money on bombs is such a bad thing. I'm also not an abolitiionist but locking everyone up and throwing away the key for certain crimes isn't the answer. There are lots of reasons why people offend and there are a number of measures offered to offenders to divert them away from prison

I don't vote Green but I can see why they've picked up popularity

(Kids shouldn't be starving in the UK in 2026).

Starbright102 · 05/05/2026 14:22

I really like Kemi. I hope she becomes PM one day. Really inspirational. She comes from a totally normal family, worked hard to get to where she is and comes across like she genuinly believes in what she says and she wants to make Britain better. She must be the only politician that I trust

JustAlice · 05/05/2026 14:22

HobGobblynne · 05/05/2026 14:19

Why? There's no other labour MP with radically different views to him, so whoever comes next will be delivering much of the same.

Oh no, it 100% can get worse.

Hallowedturf · 05/05/2026 14:22

Starmer - the reverse Midas.

After Thursday, his toxicity will be complete.

Let’s hope his long-suffering wife taps him out of our collective misery.

itsnotallaboutyouyousee · 05/05/2026 14:05

Keir Starmer told us what he was going to do didn't he? He told us that he was going to 'tread lightly on our lives'. He's trodden all over my life like a deranged rhinoceros.

I have no idea what relevance this is to me.

Not sure it was the Labour left who wanted to scrap Pip. He is useless though. On that I agree

HRTQueen · 05/05/2026 14:23

I have been impressed with her recently particularly the way she handed the heckler recently and a recent speech after the budget

I do not agree with her politics in general, I am a Labour Party member and a supporter of Starmer.

But I am pleased the Tories are gaining more support in recent months we established parties in parliament not populist parties with leaders who are happy to to engage with voters that are very much driven by their prejudiced views that heavily influences their voting.

I see Farage and Polanski as being very similar in how they manage their parties and the direction they are taking their parties in. Just one is open with this the other is more underhand and are pretending they are attracting the more intelligent voter

BunfightBetty · 05/05/2026 14:23

JustAlice · 05/05/2026 14:16

Agree, Labour is still popular here, and I'm used to it. Never seen so much support for Tories until this thread though. Very suspicious activity.

Quite a few of the posters are saying they find her personally impressive, rather than they are pro-Tory (including me).

Given that Labour only polled 10% higher than the Tories as a % of the overall vote at the last election and the current government are not at all popular (understatement), it doesn't seem suspicious to me. I recognise quite a few long-standing user names, as well.

GoodkneeBadKnee · 05/05/2026 14:02

Ooh, she's a little fibber!
Stanford University offer at 16? Nope. Cannot stand the woman.

No skin in the game but this is entirely normal for the US university system, they go to college the year before we do after Year 12/lower 6, when you could quite easily still be 16, and almost certainly would have been when you received an offer.

Dollymylove · 05/05/2026 14:24

I like Kemi. She is a very strong speaker, unlike Starmer with his robotic stuttering. Its embarrassing just listening to him

Carandache18 · 05/05/2026 14:24

MabelRoyds · 05/05/2026 12:58

She seems sensible. Keir is a dodgy stodgy script reading zombie. Nigel is holding a cigar having a laugh. Zach is a half wit.

Not much competition at the moment.

I've also never voted Tory, but she's coming fairly close to convincing me. Completely agree with this assessment of Starmer, Farage and the half wit. I did admire Caroline Lucas, I wish she had stayed around.

lornad00m · 05/05/2026 14:24

Walkyrie · 05/05/2026 14:14

Never trust a man who wants to hypnotise your breasts!

Or ...

... a man who can't define what a woman is.

... a man who believes a woman can have a penis.

... a man who wants to sell the NHS to American private health companies.

I get it. None of them are appealing.

That doesn't take away from the fact that Badenoch is a Tory. And therefore not worthy of my trust or my vote.

I think I have to vote Tories now. The others are all insane. Labour have been shocking.

Yes, just like Labour. You seem to think I'm picking on one party over another. I'm not. My point was (and is) that anyone in opposition can (and do) say whatever they like because they don't have to action it.

Be careful what you wish for, Reform and most definitely the Greens would do a far worse job than Labour.

So Tori/Labour are 2 cheeks of the same coin then?
What's the point of praising the leader of a shit party? They are all brave and sarcastic while in opposition.

blueshoes · 05/05/2026 14:11

Very much so, our Keir. I hear you.

Why vote for someone who says he will do one thing and then end up doing the exact opposite whilst feeling smug in himself. Zero strategy and leadership other than to appease unions, increase benefits and the state. I agree that commentators say he did not do his homework in opposition. So having come into power, he is like a deer in the headlights. No f--king clue how to grow the economy and create jobs.

'No f--king clue how to grow the economy and create jobs.'

Quite. Same old story for a socialist entity isn't it, we shouldn't be surprised. Labour simply spend other peoples money. That's literally all they're good at.

As opposed to the conservatives who only spent their own money?

Be careful what you wish for, Reform and most definitely the Greens would do a far worse job than Labour.

It’s called a swap - fixed for floating.

Meanwhile, if Starmer is ousted, Burnham and/or Rayner would make the Truss era akin to a vicarage tea party.

Burnham doesnt believe in the bond markets…,

MattDillonsEyebrows · 05/05/2026 14:28

I think she’s ace!

I don’t agree with everything she’s ever said but does anyone ever agree with everything someone says? Why are people on here bringing up one or two things she’s said (that need challenging btw) and declaring her an enemy to women?

Shes strong, decisive and unlike Farage, Starmer and particularly (Dave the ick) Polanski, not an embarrassment to the country! I think she’d be a great prime minister.

Sadly the racist misogynists in the Green and Labour parties would hate to see a black woman in power though. If you’re not a white penis person, the left don’t want to know.
