So is Starmer aligned with paedophiles? Or would that be false too?

A totally irrelevant and distasteful comparison.

Instead, why don’t you address this well-covered and much-debated issue? Do you agree with Timothy’s comments, Robinson’s endorsement and Badenoch’s support? I assume not?

WaffleBomb · 06/05/2026 10:39

TheLandlordsAreFrowning · 06/05/2026 10:37

If you think Sherbs is spreading disinformation report to mnhq as it is in breach of Talk guidelines.

You simply can't entertain the prospect that Badenoch might actually, occasionally, back the wrong horse.

No I take issue with the suggestion of alignment.

HobGobblynne · 06/05/2026 10:39

Sherbs12 · 06/05/2026 10:35

I said ‘perhaps they are ok’ or happy to ‘overlook’ it - perhaps many are not: you tell me. Are you comfortable with Timothy’s comments, Robinson’s endorsement and Badenoch’s support?

I’m not a lone, radical voice in this - there has been plenty of coverage on this!

I've been agreeing with you...

WaffleBomb · 06/05/2026 10:39

what do you think alignment means?

Sorry! I’m multi-tasking…

Sherbs12 · 06/05/2026 10:47

WaffleBomb · 06/05/2026 10:39

No I take issue with the suggestion of alignment.

But by supporting Timothy’s comments, which Robinson very publicly endorsed, Badenoch has aligned herself and the party she leads - I expect there are many different opinions by Tory supporters on this, which is why I said ‘perhaps’… I just don’t understand why she didn’t condemn them and the impact these comments have if she didn’t want to be aligned with them.

She’s then gone on to defend Robinson’s far-right protests, while saying another group should be stopped, which, I’m sure you’ll agree is inconsistent.

TheLandlordsAreFrowning · 06/05/2026 10:50

Badenoch has made no secret of the fact that she is happy to move the party to the far right and that One Nation Tories are not welcome. He speech after Jenrick's defection made that clear.

Ooh a plop and run!
What is it you think she's talking sense about?
Hope you come back and actually tell us what you think before the thread maxes out, otherwise it just looks like a "wind em up and watch em go" thread.

Does it matter? A booster for discussion is a good thing. We've certainly seen some refreshing views on this thread. So thanks for starting it @Sonato

💙Kemi Badenoch

Of course we've seen the usual slavishly loyal Starmerites, bless them. Panicking for good reason. Ah well at least they'll have something new to talk about by close Friday..

JHound · 06/05/2026 10:52

TempestTost · 06/05/2026 01:55

Jfc. You know calling her that is the same as calling her an uncle Tom. Between that and the Enoch comment that is not a good look

If you don’t know what a Shield is, just say that. It’s not remotely an “Uncle Tom” which actually is a slur (and a stupid one too given the book’s character.)

But to go back to the point being made - there was zero risk in her speaking out against BLM. Quite the opposite.

Nobody’s panicking. We all know the government will suffer a drubbing tomorrow. So will the official opposition. The current fragmentation in politics surprises nobody.

whilst I know everyone on the Left has Trump Derangement Syndrome

Crap like this tells me the rest of your post is not worth paying attention to.

The only derangement connected to Trump is that of the man himself.

Yes. Once someone uses the silly term TDS, I instantly lose all respect for their opinions.

So don't vote for her 🤷‍♂️

The poll suggests that many like her and will vote for her.

I find the collective Kemi fan girling among the usual suspects quite nauseating.

What do you mean by 'fan girling'? That sounds like a term a tween might use. Perhaps you are a tween. Well you should be at school!! Peculiar you think it appropriate to refer to women who support KB.

Tbf, the Kemi supporters posting here use it about Labour supporters.

You are right. What is concerning is the move away from the traditional parties to expressions of a more extreme nature. That is why it is good to discuss. I haven't appreciated it when there has just been a very negative attitude on here and especially designating posters to affiliations they haven't subscribed to. Again, to be fair, I think Kemi is more robust than that but we should feel we can point out her shortcomings without feeling we are in a rugby scrum.

My relatives in other countries don't agree. They're appalled that he's done nothing to proceed the grooming gangs investigation and think he's stuffy and egotistical.

He's destroyed the 'special relationship' with America (despite the King's efforts to bolster it) and whilst I know everyone on the Left has Trump Derangement Syndrome and doesn't like DT the fact is he's a democratically elected US president. Being good on the international stage means not alienating other leaders (particularly allies) regardless of what you think of them.

Edited

You are deluded if you think Starmer has done anything to “destroy the special relationship”. It’s the Orange Mad Man who has been busy pissing all over his former alliances.

JHound · 06/05/2026 11:08

Sherbs12 · 06/05/2026 09:59

You’re obviously uncomfortable with this, which is reassuring. Tommy Robinson endorsed Nick Timothy’s comments on Muslims praying in London as an ‘act of domination’ and said how the party has changed, as this comment would have previously seen Timothy sacked; Badenoch supported Timothy and the Robinson endorsed comments by saying Timothy was referring ‘British values’ - the link is clear and it’s public. No lies.

Yes I recall that. The woman is truly reprehensible.

It’s the same old from the usual suspects as they keep using. Happily that type of posting hasn’t helped Starmer or Labour at all. Good stuff.

What strikes me are the number of posters who claim to dislike Kemi because they disagree with a specific policy or statement she has made.

No problem if it is die in the ditch stuff. No one is expecting trans-activists or antisemites to vote for her. But generally isn't it refreshing to have a politician stand up and say what they stand for.

At least we have a fair idea what is being promised, so can choose how we vote. The biggest problem with the current Government is that we had little idea what they planned, other than getting rid of the two-child benefit cap and the Rwanda scheme. Ditto Boris. "Get Brexit done", but other than that what did he stand for.

It would be nice to have two centre-left or centre-right parties with clear manifestos, giving voters a choice. If not the risk is that people end up voting for populist parties to the left (Green) or right (Reform). Lets hope Labour can sort themselves out and decide what they stand for.

Lots of politicians stand up and say what they stand for.

Well when you have people running round a thread basically posting how wonderful she is and ignoring anything negative about her - I can see why people are saying that

It's a bubble on here. The Tories are set to drop in Scotland tomorrow with Reform picking up votes. I'd personally be worrying more about Farage and less about Starmer

I find the problem with Kemi is that I don't know what she stands for. She was in the administration of Johnson, Truss and Sunak but she did not use that time in power to take things forward.

I think Kemi has justifiably been accused of jumping on the "bandwagon" after years of not raising the issue while in power.
