Have you seen her at PMQs? Starmer wipes the floor with her every week. She hasn't got a clue.

That totally never happens!!

MulberryBrandy · 05/05/2026 20:50

Whatever anyone else offers it is immediately squashed by the same three posters. They know about every subject - it seems. They know more than anyone about the Iran war, Derry, PMQs .... you name it. They insist that Kemi has done well on all of it.

Luckily it’s not just three posters voting this week. You may be disappointed, along with Starmer.

You know the parallel universe which you inhabit?

Does it extend to Labour having a good day on Thursday?

What are you going to do after “Thursday”?

Walk with a more pronounced spring in my step.

I may even introduce a little skip.

Edit: Assuming it’s ok with you, I would like to shout ‘Ginger Rhubarb’ at the same time.

No, I asked you to provide evidence that Kemi Badenoch had called for the UK to join the war.

You have yet to provide it.

Muslim schools in some areas have also introduced security guards so it isn't true to say that security is only a requirement for Jewish schools in the country.

Also if we are talking about children being targeted, last year in Newton Mearns a hijab wearing 15 year old school girl was attacked. And a few years ago a 14 year old Muslim girl was attacked by 2 adults on a bus in South Yorkshire. A woman repeatedly punched her while a man yelled anti Muslim slurs at her. Both of these incidents were in the local news.

Both communities are targets of bigotry and racism and sadly children of both communities are at risk.

That attack in newton Mearns was awful. Unfortunately in Scotland there are groups that go out to shout abuse at people. Aberdeen and Dundee in particular. They claim to be protecting women and kids. They just sit whipping up hate against anyone who isn't white skinned. Not just immigrants. Remember the incident last year where two people abused a nurse telling her to go back home. That's what reform and restore Britain have done and that will be the hill I die on. Tories also whipped up hate against asylum seekers

Hallowedturf · 05/05/2026 20:44

Tell me - how are you feeling re Thursday?

What’s your instinct telling you?

My instinct is that Greens, Reform, SNP and PC will do well.

Tories will lose hundreds of seats. 500-700 perhaps.

Labour will lose many, many more seats than the Tories.

My hope is that Reform don't do as well as expected due to tactical voting.

How am I feeling? I feel utterly sick at the rise of Reform. But hope it is a temporary blip.

You're really sad if you think reform getting more votes makes you happy

You’ve got me all wrong.

It’s Labour’s demise which is the cause of my joy.

The rest? Detail.

It’s not really that though is it. It’s a vote on how Labour is going with Starmer leading. So they’ll have to work out whether to keep him or not.

MulberryBrandy · 05/05/2026 20:58

So what everyone can see is that @WaffleBomb @EasternStandard @Hallowedturf are just trying to shut down any real debate. The agenda is just to say how wonderful Kemi is. There is no room for any discussion or any alternative views whatsoever. We are not allowed to think. We just have to agree with them.. not a good recommendation for supporting Badenoch. To be fair on her, I don't think she would think this is a good debate.

JollyDenimSeal · 05/05/2026 20:58

I have honestly been at the point where I never thought I would voted snp again but fuck it. Both votes snp on Thursday. My mum will be voting both votes snp too - reform won't get a sniff in my area but they will in others

Re your last sentence, perhaps best to ask the PP who claims to know Kemi, personally.

Ok. It’s all going to impact Starmer’s leadership and whether he stays. Wales and councils too

Posting misinformation is not an alternative view. Asking for evidence to support your claims is not shutting down debate.
