People who are relatively unknown do quite well on these popularity polls. Once people catch up with the policies of the antisimitic tit-whisperer, that will hopefully change.

It wasn't his popularity that I found interesting it was that he had the biggest "don't know score" re: favourability. 39%. Ed Davey was second with 37%. Farage had only 8%.

Fwiw I don't like Polanski at all.

I find any popularity of Badenoch baffling. I don't see any competence so far. Also many of her colleagues and ex colleagues seem to be departing for Reform. (Except Truss, even Reform see her has toxic despite Farage LOVING her disastrous budget.)

Oh well more feel like that about Starmer. He has lowest rating of any PM and whilst some on mn get all funny about KB she’s gaining ground.

South Wales - arguably the birthplace of Labour.

It’s hard to overstate how seismic, Labour’s loss of Wales, would prove.

In 2024 they presented Wales as a blueprint of what Labour would do.

Some of us here were horrified

Gaining ground( if this is true which I very much doubt) from negative numbers isn’t really anything though is it.

She is completely unelectable for all the reasons below, as are the Tories. They really are toast.

We’ll see but you seem to really care about Labour and Starmer so perhaps focus on their numbers instead. It’s not going well for them.

No - what I imagine happens is, people tell you but you don’t listen. It’s some sort of niche, hearing deformity a lot you on the left suffer from

Can you please share your view? about what Reform will do and how it's going to make life better?

Oh yeah, it's amazing the number of people who have no idea about politics. There's some staggering percentage of libdem voters who couldn't pick out Daveys on a line-up.

@NoWordForFluffyi think I explained why I wouldn’t vote for the other parties. I possibly missed Lib Dem’s but let’s be honest, who remembers Lib Dem’s?

Hmm no I also care about this country not being broken further by either Reform or the Tories.

What would Labour supporters consider a good result for Labour on Thursday? Of the 2557 seats being defended, how many seats are you expecting/ hoping for them to retain. And how many seats in the Senedd would you consider a good result?

I am not voting Labour this time, but am usually a Labour voter, occasionally vote Lib Dem.

We all know the results for Labour are going to be terrible and there is not going to be a "good " result by any measure. What many, or even most, left wing folk are focused on is keeping Reform out as far as possible. That is the battle to win at the moment IMHO.

So a good result for me personally will be Reform not getting into power in Wales. I will be very happy and relieved with that.

I don't think any party in Wales will have an outright majority. Plaid and Greens might form an alliance and then God help women's rights.

My view is that this government are already doing an exceptional job of causing irreparable damage to this country - the policy errors, the u-turns, the vetting failures, the resignations/sackings, the terrible comms, the resets, the weak leadership. All in less than two years.

We are here for a reason - it’s no accident.

I don’t think anybody can equate the past few months of Labour rule to the 14 years of catastrophe we had under the Tories or to the Reform Brexit lies and laughable Reform inadequacies when actually having to do anything other than pontificate.

We also have the US to look as a reference point come any election. I’d like to think the UK will have learnt a lot from Trump, Reform, Brexit and the Tories when they go to the polls in the next general election.

The Tories had 14 years to show their consistent inadequacies in all their glory. They’re finished. Labour deserve longer before being judged. They’ve been dumped a massive mess made by the Tories and Reform over several years whilst having to tackle the fallout from Farage and Kemi’s idol- Trump.

Can we have some details please re “irreparable damage” please and were you asleep the last 14 years?

No, they won't. It is virtually impossible for anyone to under the new PR system. I think Plaid might need Labour and Green and maybe even Lib Dem.

I have no fear for my rights.

People are making a judgement on Labour, deservedly so, the votes this week will show that.

Obviously Labour won’t like that but that’s voting and democracy for you.

Because Labour and the LibDems are staunch defenders of women's rights? And they definitely won't relish the opportunity to coast on progressive coattails?

Is that all you have in reply?

Not entirely sure you can say Labour won’t like whatever the result is. The Tories ran for the hills after their disastrous 14 years because they knew those having to pick up the pieces in this term were going to be unpopular and faced with massive challenges. By the same token more and more people experiencing the inadequacies of Reform at a local level will be a good thing for Labour come the next election which is some way off.

The Tories are toast and irrelevant.
