How many people have you slept with?

…and do you lie about it? I’m late 30s, 4 or 5 relationships, most 1-2 years, been married now for 6 years. I’ve slept with around 50 people (I know cos I made a list once!) Only 1 or 2 were ‘true’ one night stands. I know that’s a lot but I refuse to be ashamed of it, I had a lot of fun in my youth. When I was dating before my husband I never admitted it to anyone I was dating. I’d always say less than 10. So how many people have you slept with and do you freely admit it or do you reduce the number a lot if asked by people you’re dating or were dating before if you’re in a relationship? And how do you feel about the number?

One - my husband. He died about 8 years ago and while I miss sex - its sex with HIM I miss - the thought of sleeping with someone new now makes me feel ill! In the incredibly unlikely event it was a possibility I'd have to tell - to explain my inexperience. Its been so long now that it would be like doing it for the first time again - but with a much less able body!

Does your husband know it is is 50?

Why does that matter?

Why does that matter?

I have answered, but it appears I am in the minority.

I hate to say this, but does no-one on here, really think @coulditbeme2323 has a bit of a point? I don't think you have to be part of the manosphere to think that some men (many men probably) will be put off a woman who tells him she has slept with 100s of men.

Also though, it does work both ways, and most women - me included, as I said earlier - will be put off a man who says he has slept with 100s of women. Most people don't want to get into a relationship with someone who has shagged 100s and 100s of different people.

I bet the posters who have slept with 100 men or more don't tell any new partner this, and have never told their husband this either. If they have, I would also be very surprised if he was OK with it. But as I said, most women wouldn't be happy if a man they met claimed he had shagged 100s of women either! It's not a pop at women!

Sorry, but most people are going to be a bit Shock and then Hmm if a new partner they are dating tells them that they have shagged 100s of people. It's not about being prudish or part of the 'manosphere,' most people - in real life - will raise their eyebrows at someone making that claim.

I’m in my early 60s. It’s no more than twelve or thirteen, probably somewhere between 10-13. No one has ever asked me and I’ve never asked anyone, not even my ex. I gave it all up about ten year’s ago.

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 30/04/2026 11:07

A fair number - probably about 60.

Hotandpointy · 30/04/2026 11:07

I’d say it’s none of anyone’s business.
DH knows I’ve had some fun and to be honest I’ve lost count but I’d be surprised if he suddenly demanded a number because that’s weird.
He was quite a slag back in the day so pretty sure mine would be lower than his! Grin

Millindugu · 30/04/2026 11:08

1 but that was husband we were together from 16 now I’m 40 and falling apart and wish I had the confidence of a younger me with a hot body to have a load of fun one night stands. Instead it’s been 4 years and all the years we had were crap sex. Embrace your sexuality, I get why you would lie but that’s society’s problem not yours. I wish I had ‘lived’ when I was younger and hotter

Well into 3 figures, no idea of the actual number. I’m 62 and have had periods of glorious hedonism and periods of celibacy. It is what it is and I have no regrets. And before that dumb poster asks, yes my partner knows.

“before that dumb posters asks” made me LOL 😂

ForCosyLion · 30/04/2026 11:08

I'm in my early fifties and my tally is 13. I was with my exH for 14 years, otherwise it would be more. I also don't fancy people very easily, for some reason. All the stars have to line up, it seems.

Edit: Most of them were in my late teens and early twenties. I've only slept with three people since 2004, when I met my exH. And just two people after him. That's a bit pathetic, actually. What a waste of life - three people in 22 years!!! Hopefully more will come my way.

I don't lie; I'm really open and I tell 'em whether they've asked or not, lol!

I’d have trouble finding that many men attractive. I don’t think I’ve even met hundred men in my entire life I’d find attractive enough to want to sleep with.

coulditbeme2323 · 30/04/2026 10:08

Intrigued I suppose, I can't imagine many men being okay with it to be honest.

As long as it's not while with them then why should it be an issue?

Sevenwondersofthewoo · 30/04/2026 11:10

@coulditbeme2323 either you’re a man judging women for their choices or a woman with internalised misogyny.

Batties · 30/04/2026 11:10

please don’t make claims such as “Most people don't want to get into a relationship with someone who has shagged 100s and 100s of different people” because they bless you have surveyed a large part of the population, you have not evidence for that claim.

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 30/04/2026 11:10

Just counted, about 20

No misogyny, as feel the same the other way.

Fair point.

Heraldry · 30/04/2026 11:12

I don’t discuss it with anyone but I’m not ashamed, I just don’t see any relevance.

The only time it’s actually been love-making is with DP, met in my 40s. Without love, well there’s just no comparison.

Batties · 30/04/2026 11:12

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/04/2026 11:11

It’s certainly quite a heteronormative assumption.

Yes its misogynistic or internalised

edited to say no one is property and we don’t own anyone so if in a relationship and someone is judging you on your body count dump em

I'm 37 and I've slept with one person - my DH. Met at 18, now married. I think 1 person is probably quite abnormal but I'm happy with it. I'm shy, he's shy, we met, we clicked and the rest is history.

I think that’s lovely.

coulditbeme2323 · 30/04/2026 11:13

Batties · 30/04/2026 11:12

Are you a man?

No, but because I dared to suggest there are men out there who would feel uncomfortable with their wife having sex with 100 people I must be the spawn of Andrew Tate and HSTikkytokky.
