How many people have you slept with?

…and do you lie about it? I’m late 30s, 4 or 5 relationships, most 1-2 years, been married now for 6 years. I’ve slept with around 50 people (I know cos I made a list once!) Only 1 or 2 were ‘true’ one night stands. I know that’s a lot but I refuse to be ashamed of it, I had a lot of fun in my youth. When I was dating before my husband I never admitted it to anyone I was dating. I’d always say less than 10. So how many people have you slept with and do you freely admit it or do you reduce the number a lot if asked by people you’re dating or were dating before if you’re in a relationship? And how do you feel about the number?

8 total - 5 were relationships (some very short however) & 3 were FWB situations

Absolutely there are men who care, and women who care. And most of them probably have the slut v stud mentality.

That doesn't mean everyone cares. Those who care will ask early on so weed each other out.

The rest of us who don't give a shit just go years with each other still not knowing and still not caring.

I think that the whole numbers thing is really about judging and shaming women so I reject it entirely and would never have married a man in the first place who felt he had the right to know my number, or even had an interest in knowing it.

I think asking is a red flag. It gives off judgemental and controlling vibes. I don’t know if it’s a more recent thing, but when I was dating in the 80s/90s no one ever asked and it never crossed my mind to ask. I would have been put off someone who asked me, regardless if my total was one or a hundred.

1 for me. Met DH when I was 18, been together 20 years, married for 16. No regrets as with getting fit, our sex life has gotten better with time. It’s like I've been with different versions of him.

SparklyGlitterballs · 30/04/2026 11:46

Seven for me and I'm 62. Two were ONS, one was husband, one a year long 'situationship' and the other three were short term FWBs.

Swissmeringue · 30/04/2026 11:46

I'd guess it's around 35, I've never made a list though. Tbh I'm not sure anyone has ever asked me, DH knows I had lots of fun, I know he had lots of fun. I can't imagine feeling the need to lie about it but I equally can't imagine thinking it was any of anyone else's business who I've slept with.

I briefly dated a guy with one of those. Was the weirdest thing. Poor bastard.

One of the best 'encounters' I ever had was with a guy with a micro. He had adapted and overcome his challenges by actually learning what women liked and found pleasurable, rather than just thinking 'putting it in and moving it backwards and forwards is enough' 🤣

I already answered that above.

Feels like you're the one judging here. It is nobody's current partner's business what they did before they met.

socks1107 · 30/04/2026 11:47

I’m late 40s and about 20 ( some I’ve probably forgotten about) I worked in an industry in my 20s where people were always sleeping with each other, or at parties. It’s just how it was tbh.
no regrets and am happily married now

  1. I'm 73, married for 53 years. So glad I don't have to bump into anyone smirking in the street remembering what my vulva looks like.

No one who's seen my glorious yoni is smirking. They are counting their goddamn blessings.

Nevermind17 · 30/04/2026 11:40

I have an ex who had a micro penis. I do chuckle to myself when I recall it.

I once slept with a man with one of those, it's all he went on about. It was really off putting.

User ‘Coulditbeme’ will be along shortly to publicly shame you, don’t worry 🤣.

Edited

🤣 I went to a private catholic school convent as a Protestant so I’m used to being shamed for my sins! By the nuns.

CasperGutman · 30/04/2026 11:50

One. I was a shy, awkward teenager and met my now-wife soon after I started at uni. We've been happy together for 25 years now.

Kind of got to ask yourself how weird her fanny looks if she reckons folks would remember it after half a century.

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 30/04/2026 11:51

uhm… what counts as “sleeping with”?

Receiving and or giving oral or just penetrative (penis in vagina) intercourse?

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 30/04/2026 11:52

Notarealblonde · 30/04/2026 11:37

If that makes us sinners so be it. Haha! I do not feel guilty, no woman should for their choices.

I don’t feel guilty either. Why should I? Yes there were some unwise choices but I tried not to make those again.

For me it’s piv. Oral and hand jobs don’t count imo/e. Appreciate it may be different for others.

TheBlueRobin · 30/04/2026 11:53

9 people. Age 32

Three were long term relationships, including current partner. Others 3 I only slept with once and the others just a handful of times.

Thapnan · 30/04/2026 11:54

3
I’m nearing 50
Met DH as a teen. He was #3.
couldn’t give a shit who knows or wants to know or re any judgement

OriginalSkang · 30/04/2026 11:54

I dated someone with a micro penis, it was the reason I ended it. I don't ever laugh about it. Perhaps I would have if he had been horrible! He was a friend and nice person though. He's been happily married for years

Reallyneedsaholiday · 30/04/2026 11:55

I don’t lie about it, but neither do I answer the question. I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business, anymore than it would be mine to ask “them”.

AttachmentFTW · 30/04/2026 11:56

I'm mid thirties, married 6 years, had another LTR in my 20s, but prior to that I had a lot of fun. Last time I counted it was coming up to 50 but that was some years back. A few ONS, quite a few FWB situations. I enjoyed myself and regret little.

I have only been asked once, by a room of women at someone's birthday drinks. I was honest and they absolutely shamed me for it, I felt so uncomfortable. So if I was in a similar situation again I wouldn't lie but I might be evade the question.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 30/04/2026 11:56

I don't know! But not ashamed of that - I had a lot of fun in my 20s and 30s.

I have been mocked when I have disclosed that my number is 1 🫤 yes just my ex husband! most people I have disclosed this to have been shocked the other way😳

My number is 2. Married the second one and been together for 34 years. I don’t feel I’ve missed out by not having a wild youth, sexually, though. I travelled, partied and enjoyed myself just without the risk of an STI…

Ubugly · 30/04/2026 11:59

DoraSpenlow · 30/04/2026 10:14

Don't you remember the penises of people you have slept with? I would if I had done.

No not at all! Wouldn't be able to recognise anyone's in a Penis line up.

Plenty were young drunken fumbles most a long time ago. Never even think about it.

MyMilchick · 30/04/2026 11:59

My husband and myself never even asked each other this, we're late 40's/early 50's, it's not something you'd ask people back when we started seeing each other, I find it a bit odd that it seems something standard to ask and almost demanded these days when people start dating. Seems like a way for men to judge women, we've gone backwards in a lot of ways in regards to women's rights I think
