Mine would be Ben Fogle. I love his series BF New lives in the wild. He comes across as such a caring, compassionate and down to earth person. He’s a great listener and loves to hear real people’s life stories. He also looks like he gives great hugs!

Nicola Walker, Claudia Winkleman and Davina.

Noel Fielding. He's arty, quirky, funny and seems a gentle soul

Bill Bailey is brilliant and so multi talented and intelligent. He makes me laugh until tears are pouring out. I’d love to walk, sketch and talk with him.

WeAreNumpties · 26/04/2026 01:11

Bill Bailey without a doubt. Also Kate Lister the historian and Alex Andreou the podcaster. I'm not a Tory but I think Ruth Davidson would be a good friend.

Matt Willis

Id choose Emma willis. She comes across as such a beautiful person, also Giovanna fletcher. Both seem super supportive.

JMSA · 26/04/2026 05:56

I think Gemma Atkinson seems cool. I’d like to know her now, as an adult, but not in her lad mag days!

Elanol · 26/04/2026 07:50

Karl Pilkington 😁

JuliettaCaeser · 26/04/2026 07:51

I would like to know the rest is history men they sound really nice and are knowledgeable!

Nicola Walker used to go to the same soft play centre as me. I was too shy to try to to be her friend but she had a baby the same age and was on her own - was just a normal mum like the rest of us! Missed my chance!

There are a few people on these lists who I have met several times or know a bit and I can just confirm they are great choices.

And no, I’m not saying who 😁

What a pointless comment.

Sue Perkins. I really warm to her.

@MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack hate to burst your bubble but my partner worked on a charity show in the West End with her once and she was absolutely vile to anyone working on it that wasn't a fellow 'name'. Treated everyone like shit on her shoe. My partner almost never has a bad word about anyone either.

Ponoka7 · 26/04/2026 08:34

Who would I want an impromptu night in the pub with? Trump, or Boris Johnson, I think both would be hilarious on a night out.
I've been friends with famous people, the asking for a photo etc spoils any meet-ups.
@Dinggirl Rick is lovely, so are his wider family (I met him at a family party, didn't connect the surname).

Iwantmybed · 26/04/2026 08:38

Alan Carr. My gay bestie moved away and we lost contact so I'm in the market for a new one, as it were.

I think I could add to Alan's harem of girlie friends, Amanda Holden, Adele and me. I can be the untalented one 😄.

We both escaped from Northampton years ago so we have that in common at least, who knows what we'd chat about once the Spinadisc, monkey in shoe shop window and lift tower chat dried up.

Sian Williams from BBC Breakfast / the Life Changing podcast. I love her gentle voice and she sounds so kind

Fi Glover from the Fortunately podcast. She’s hilarious and so funny.
