canuckup · Today 00:00

Hot places. That rules out most places south of home (London) in the summer, the tube in the summer, even pub gardens unless there’s shade. I hate being hot. I think I’m allergic to my own sweat, I get really itchy.
Also queuing. I can’t think of anything I want to do badly enough that I’d queue for it.

I'm the same with the heat. It was too hot for me today in the garden!!

My toxic sibling

Greenandyellowday · Today 00:14

Mild cheese (pointless): only the most tangy, pungent, and eye-watering for me now.
Egg whites.
London, except day-trips by train, with a single destination and a museum caff or a restaurant for lunch nearby.
High heels, even middling heels.
Sheer tights, expensive tights, tights too short in the leg and waist: I like a pair of long, thick opaques that come up almost to my bra.
Bras with wires, and knickers that prioritise form over function.
Heights, confident leaps and strides from boulder to boulder, falling over and breaking something.
My self-righteous, patronising, irritating neighbours (tbf that's one ndn household only: the other neighbours are good but I still avoid them too).
Finishing (or going beyond 100 pages of) a boring book.
Large gatherings like festivals and bigger gigs.
Cleaning 😡

TheeNotoriousPIG · Today 00:18

People... TBF, I have been trying to keep a low profile since I was at school, because I got bullied a lot. Since leaving, I've found more than a handful of nice people in the world, but I still like my own company.

Doing anything in public. I can't bear people watching me!

Things that set my anxiety off

Public transport (because it's not an option around here. It's more like a foreign concept)

Shopping centres, much to my relief! Online shopping is much less stressful

Motorway driving, but that's because motorways don't exist in this country

My sibling. I am more than with 100 miles between us. I couldn't live where he does, and he couldn't bear living here, so it suits us both.

Visiting my family, because it is so busy and noisy around there, now that an extra 1,000 houses have been shoehorned into the village where I grew up, with more planned. I live in a rural, remote place, where the noisiest things are the ewes and lambs in the field over the lane! My family now find the quiet, peacefulness around here either calming or disturbing, depending on the person!

I wonder if I'm too young still (although I'm really not that young) but I love people, when do people start hating people?!

People.

Was going to say the same, but to qualify, not MY people, just everyone else can jog on.

children
windy places
places with background noise
anything which has the words ‘ritual’ , ‘sharing’, ‘communication’ or ‘wetsuit’ on the poster

Ritual, sharing, communication, wetsuit.

😂 Perfect!

Redheadedstepchild · Today 00:39

Biting into crusty bread sandwiches, apples and similar crunchy things. I've got a repaired front tooth - although I chipped it when I was 24 so not really a getting older thing. I am more careful about breaking it again as time goes on however because every time a dentist redoes it they make it look worse.

People especially neighbours. Anyone I dont know who rings the door bell.

Ap42 · Today 01:19

Defiantly people! I wonder how much of that is a throwback from covid times and we learnt not to rely on others or see friends and family.
Also going out, its effort I cannot be bothered with!

estrogone · Today 01:30

My parents and brother (finally gave up after 50 years of being treated like shit).

Just read the first and last pages, but Jeez, that's a depressing read. Is that typical of how most UK women feel?

realsavagelike · Today 02:40

Pubs with live music. Always shit. Always too loud. I want my drink in peace, not with the sound of a sad dad belting out Oasis covers.

This. Never liked it, like it even less now.

realsavagelike · Today 02:52

Although actual gigs I have chosen to pay for are still fantastic

Giraffehaver · Today 03:03

Everything. People, crowds, going outside, sex, drama. Just life basically
