Crowds
Noise
Being out after 6pm

And the news. I’m keeping myself as wilfully ignorant as I can get away with.

whoamI00 · Yesterday 21:33

social pressure

Gluten, dairy (Hashimotos); social events; being indoors; shops.

You avoid being indoors?

Drama. Quiet life is everything

UnderactiveUnderachiever · Yesterday 21:47

Any place where there's music at any level above 'merest whisper'.

Any place where there might be children doing that ear-breaking scream - the one their parents can't hear.

Anything except Premium on a flight.

Idiots. Don't even hang around long enough to find out what level of idiot they are!

RockNToll · Yesterday 21:50

People. Drama. Unnecessary work. Spending money other than on essentials .

I am happy with a simple life. Pottering around the house/garden, reading a book. Doing a jigsaw puzzle.

PineConeOrDogPoo · Yesterday 21:51

Work social events
Shopping centres
Places with Loud music
Saying yes to things I'd rather say no to
Staying out late
Get dressed up/made up for going out
Conversations with acquaintances in public if see them by chance
Long films

This thread has helped me feel normal

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · Yesterday 21:56

Crowds, too much contact with people, supermarkets, decorating, busy activities (people), work.
work related socialising and meetings.

BethBynnag86 · Yesterday 21:57

Staying out after 9pm.

Flicitytricity · Yesterday 21:58

I never liked people until I got older, now I enjoy them🤣
I avoid room sharing when holidaying with friends. Need my own escape!

Avoid 'child friendly' anything ( love my own, but not interested in anyone elses)

Avoid white bread, makes me bloat.

I have loads more.....😲

This thread is really depressing

Agreed. It’s like some kind of Proud Misanthropes’ Charter.

Dymaxion · Yesterday 22:30

I am really suprised by those saying people, I bloody love people on the whole with the exception of a couple in my immediate family who drive me scatty, but even with them I can see some positives when Ive had enough wine and the wind is blowing in the right direction !

Things I generally avoid but wish I didn't , wearing heels and swimming. Both due to the amount of ballast I am carrying.
PB's and racing at anything, I don't have a competitive bone in my body, generally just pleased if I survive, generally bored by anyone elses, especially middle aged men who don't applaud women of the same age who outperform them

Things I avoid that aren't related to my weight, any book that I don't enjoy reading after the first few chapters, life is too short. Eating or drinking anything I don't enjoy, always open to new things but if I don't like it, I stop. Little, flimsy underwear, give me decent coverage and a good sturdy gusset any day.

IsawwhatIsaw · Yesterday 22:38

I don’t watch the news much any more . Just got weary with the endless depressing news everyday.
I’m avoiding people who I feel worse after seeing - the type who monologue about themselves, show no interest in me.
I avoid night driving if I can .
I enjoy pottering around the house, and garden , seeing friends during the day time

Socialising of any kind. My sofa, my butt on it and some browsing

Alcohol

Beesandhoney123 · Yesterday 22:43

I didn't realise it was led lights on cars at night. I thought my eyes were at fault!

Cooroo · Yesterday 22:47

Alcohol, because it sends me to sleep (at 66).
Otherwise I travel, cycle, volunteer at a library, run a Shakespeare group so do a lot of the things people above don't do!
I do avoid the news because it's so bloody bleak and there's fuck all I can do about it.

Twoshoesnewshoes · Yesterday 22:55

children
windy places
places with background noise
anything which has the words ‘ritual’ , ‘sharing’, ‘communication’ or ‘wetsuit’ on the poster

SantiagoShaming · Yesterday 22:58

Weather over 28 degrees C.

Drunk people.

Child-friendly restaurants.

Wonderlandpeony · Yesterday 23:09

People mainly, but also pubs and alcohol.

Speakeasy22 · Yesterday 23:35

City centres at night - even though I would happily have got the last bus home as a student. City centres have changed. Restaurants - would much rather have people over. Single beds.

lazymaw · Yesterday 23:39

crowds, driving, travelling, staying in someone’s house, live music/gigs, going out to mediocre restaurants, clothes shopping for me

dannyufcfan · Yesterday 23:41
