People. Alcohol. Rich food. Drama (other people's). Parties.

IAxolotlQuestions · Yesterday 19:22

I avoid crowds, noise, loud music and alcohol.

The news and most tv shows. The latter are always overblown, hyperbolic and the pacing is wrong for me.

I’d avoid school events if I could get away with it.

I don’t like to drive at night anymore. Or park in a multi-storey.

HIIT exercise. Just can’t do it. Happy to walk, cycle etc, but no more bouncing around.

Most things to do with work - away days, charity drives, team building events…

I just want to read, sort my garden, have breakfast in the garden centre cafe, and study interesting new topics.

Love this thread.
Big crowds, or pubs really. Especially with bands. They’re always cringe.
Literally avoid talking to some people. I will hide in the shops if I see them.
Put up with people smoking or vaping in front of me. Get away with that shite

Fiction where the plot is miserable/depressing/harrowing etc.

Mostly now I read non fiction and fun stuff.

Shops.
I have more disposable income these days but can’t be bothered traipsing round - thank goodness for online shopping!

Yes, I've developed a liking for fluffy feel good fiction too now,and avoid any that breeds anxiety or lowers my mood.

Serious books. Poetry, Shakespeare. Ironing. Any film that's longer than two hours. Any black and white film. Any film with subtitles.

People, alcohol, going out in the evening!

Ribenaberry12 · Yesterday 19:31

Family members that get on my nerves. Spent years putting up with them. Cant be arsed anymore.

StupidReception · Yesterday 19:33

Ha. The responses on this have been as I guessed. The misanthropes of MN never disappoint!

StupidReception · Yesterday 19:33

I avoid being cold. I wear as many layers as I want, put the heating on and don’t mind about being judged!

Getting down on the floor

Definitely. In fact even bending down. If somethings on the bottom shelf in a supermarket it doesn't exist.

mathanxiety · Yesterday 19:36

People, drama, live music, high heels, fashion, the sun, second helpings of food and alcohol. I'm a proper party pooper.

grrrlatrix · Yesterday 19:43

Socialising. Just don’t enjoy it. I actively avoid making friends.
