What does either a specific person in your life, or just the general public do, you just don't understand why they do it, and you either can't ask them or you've tried to ask them and they can't tell you?

Write it here and maybe someone else that also does it can tell you why, or has an idea as to why.

Here are mine:

Why do my neighbours across the street bring their bins outside a full 24hrs early? They are retired, home most of the day, go in and out of their house five or six times during that 24hr period, but bring their bins out early Monday morning when they don't get picked up until Tuesday morning?

Why do people talk on their phones on speakerphone in public, what is the purpose?

People going shopping as an entire family during the busiest periods.

I struggle with this as a dd is indeed a fan of up the bum crack leggings and shorts for the gym or running. No amount of tutting from me deters her, I hope it's a passing fad Confused.

Has she ever been able to articulate what she think sis , um ... nice about the way they look? They mystify me.

I remember my Dad as we pulled into the carpark of a garden centre one day seeing a lady packing plants into her car boot wearing scrunchy bum-crack leggings. My 70-something father sort of physically jolted in horror and then gasped "WHAT has HAPPENED to her trousers?" I've never heard anyone sound more genuinely appalled!😂

Why do people park next to you in an empty carpark!? Recently, I was sat in my car, in a car park which was barely full, and a woman decided to turn into the parking space next to me and scraped all the the way down my car in the process. I asked her why, and she couldn’t give me an answer.

That and why neighbours think “I know, let’s turn out music full blast in the garden, all my other neighbours will love that!”

My Dad is a music blaster- he genuinely thinks he is the arbiter of good taste in music, and you should either enjoy his music or learn to enjoy it.

When his neighbours blast their music, its not the same thing because they've got "shit taste in music".

Put way too much perfume on perhaps in the mistaken view it is making them classy. It isn’t. It does the opposite.

Omg I was going to say this! I do wonder why isn’t mum going on her own?? If my children’s dad was home I am NOT taking my kids to a supermarket!!

in reply to this comment "Why don't cyclists stop at traffic lights", why dont car drivers

Doesn't he realise you need bum crack leggings to buy plants

women who have no maternal instinct and don’t like kids, why do they have children? It baffles me! And causes generational trauma that could so easily be avoided.

Don't underestimate the power of hormones.

Architects who design houses with wonky or odd-sized bedrooms. Do they think, "Ah yes, a 4-bed house. That'll be a nice big master bedroom, one normal-sized double, one weird L-shaped single, one single... oh fuck, forgot to give the master bedroom an en suite. If I squeeze it into where I wanted to put the single, that still leaves space for a Moses basket and a bin. Genius!" Confused

Why do so many of my neighbours drive to our local corner shop which is approximately a 3 - 4 minute walk?

omg that's nuts. That really is nuts and killing the planet too. they never heard of a bike

OonaStubbs · Today 15:10

People who go as an extended family to collect children from school baffle me, as do people who go shopping as a family.

People who walk round supermarkets or shops as if in a daze, blocking aisles, standing in front of items that other people need to get to for minutes on end. Just go in, get the items you want, pay for them and leave. It's not rocket science FFS!

People who have dogs and expect other people to love their dogs as much as they do and are confused when they do not.

People who are unable to focus on the task in hand and are constantly distracted.

People who use 10 (or 30, or 300) words to answer a question which could be answered with 1 word.

Noisy people.

Grown men and women who play computer games and talk about them as if they are real.

Cyclists who try to squeeze between the kerb and your car at traffic lights, then get first away at the lights and hold traffic back waiting to overtake again.

Augustus40 · Today 15:12

I put our wheelie bins out the day before. There are 2 reasons. I don't want to forget is the first reason. The second reason is they are visible to the taxi driver that that is my house coming back from Asda each week. They have many drivers and not all of them know which is my house.

So hereabouts there is a big red box in front of the cars that has the sole purpose of facilitating that

So they are overtaken by the same traffic twice...twice the risk, cant they just wait in turn?

Motorists are supposed to leave 1.5 m gap when overtaking, why cant cyclists do the same when undertaking?

Same traffic or different traffic, its all traffic with the potential to kill a cyclist, so just leave some space

LostFuse · Today 15:19

A car passing a cyclist at 30 mph poses a massive risk to the cyclist, whereas a cyclist passing a stationary car at 5 mph does not pose the same threat of fatal injury to the driver.

Re the bin thing - why does a neighbour make a racket returning their bin to their property two days after it’s been collected every single week? They could easily bring it in after finishing work on a Friday instead of waiting until 8.00am on Sunday morning! They also take their kids out to activities on a Saturday so that’s another opportunity to collect it on the way back in 🤷🏻‍♀️
