WIBU not to pick up this Vinted order?

Hi. I purchased something on Vinted a couple of days ago. Despite trying to convince myself that I really liked and wanted it, I decided that I had changed my mind. I saw that the seller hadn’t yet sent it, so at 7pm last night cancelled the order and sent her a very apologetic message to explain.
I didn’t hear anything back and at 12pm this afternoon received a notification from Vinted to say that it couldn’t be cancelled, followed by a message from the seller to say that she had just sent it. Unfortunate, but one of those things.

I regularly buy on Vinted but have never been in this position before. What happens if I don’t pick it up when it arrives? Will I be refunded in due course? And will the seller be able to leave negative feedback about me?

Thanks.

Someone didn't collect an order that I had sent. I got the parcel delivered back to my house and they got their purchase price and postage refunded. The only person inconvenienced was me by having to go and post it. It seems nuts to me that buyers don't get penalised for being flaky but there we are. There was also no opportunity to give poor feedback. I wouldn't have tbh as I couldn't be bothered.

It’s not about being flakey. When we buy anything online we have a right to cancel. Op cancelled the order and the seller still posted it so if the seller is inconvenienced that’s their own fault

I honestly do try to be considerate always 😞

It's a friendly message, but ordering an item, letting the seller start the process of sending it out and then cancelling is not considerate.
It would have been considerate to ask if it was possible to cancel, and accept a refusal.

I just checked my Vinted sales and you can’t see when the label was downloaded. I’d say she’s chancing her arm sending it after having seen the message and for £32 you would not be unreasonable not to collect it

If people are driving 30 mins to a locker, spending £1 on each postage bag and rummaging in the loft to find their wares, then sorry, but that level of daftness is not on me!

I was on the fence, but after this message, YABU.

I sell bulky or fragile stuff sometimes and need sturdy boxes to bags to send in.
I also sell multiple items a time and have to drive 26 miles to a locker once a week.

We're rural where network isn't great, so as soon as I sell, I take a screenshot and use that at the drop off point.

I wouldn't be checking messages at that point as signal is sketchy there too.
