Do I look overweight? I’m the one in grey. I’ve had two kids and I think I might have let my weight run away with me, but as a typical woman I want to know if I’m being over critical? Please be honest

You don’t look overweight at all however that outfit is not flattering but it looks like a casual family day out so expected. It’s not a posed picture either, so angle/pose isn’t going to be great, no one even stick thin people are ‘picture perfect’ at every moment.

Rather than asking strangers to judge off one photo, just weigh yourself and work out your BMI then you will know if you are overweight according to one simple measure. You can also measure your waist and work out your waist to height ratio, which is another indicator. Also waist to hip ratio.

It’s hard to tell as it’s a baggy jumper but do you think you have? If you can run around, keep up with them, sleep well and eat healthily and feel good the that counts for a lot

You look like a normal sized woman having fun with her family. If I was being critical, I’d advise you to lose the jumper as I don’t think that length is flattering. But I don’t think it would be on anybody! But otherwise, you as a person and as a body look absolutely fine x

I am sure you’re fine OP and so are the responses on this thread but I feel really twitchy about this kind of question tbh. Any question with accompanying photos that invites guesses or judgement about someone’s weight/body/attractiveness is so often answered in a highly subjective way that has more to do with the responder’s own thoughts and feelings about themselves and isn’t relevant. Often the responses are unkind (unintentionally or absolutely taking aim) and can’t be helpful in any way. I sometimes have concerns about why someone is asking for opinions. I’m not sure it does any of us any favours tbh.

No, of course not. Your BMI must be <25, therefore you are not clinically overweight.

and, as I said, she’s grand. Whatever. I’m 5ft 1 and I look fat as fuck when I’m at the upper end of my normal BMI. I have rolls and a belly when I get above 8st. I have to stay at the lower end 7st-ish, to look thin.

So you can definitely be within the top end of a healthy BMI and still look chubby.

being honest id say you are most likely just inside the overweight bracket. You still look great but if you have noticed you are gaining you are probably heading in the one direction. I've been in many weight brackets over the years and its so easy to gain without realising.

In saying that, I'm a similar BMI and often have similar thoughts, so you're not alone. It's funny how we are far more critical of ourselves than others.
