This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

@ivyball
Your eating is disordered.

I dont know what it would be categorised as but this is not a normal diet at all.

Half a kilo of cheese in a day is crazy (and I love cheese).
The nut situation is also ... nuts...

Your diet lack fruit and veg and fibre and needs an overhaul.

DalmationalAnthem · 30/03/2026 13:30

I thought people were going to tell me I ate really healthy meals

What part is really healthy?

I thought my diet was bad, I feel good compared to this 😆 I would love to eat blocks of cheese and nuts all day, I love that fatty salty high calorie stuff.
The health problems they give in high amounts scare me too much.

whattheysay · 30/03/2026 13:30

You’re eating about 3000 calories per day. You don’t eat a lot of food for that amount of calories. I am 5’5 and I would be very overweight if I ate that everyday, my maintenance calories at 63kg is around 1500

ivyball · 30/03/2026 12:25

Sorry if this seems like a weird post but I’m trying to make sense of a few things I probably have been in denial about which is why I wanted opinions for clarity, people have said things to me before and I’ve always just thought I had a great diet.

How much would you expect someone at 42 and had this diet for years to weigh?
Would you think it would cause weight gain or weight loss or not make any difference?

You think it's a great diet?

I'd expect somebody who is 42 , is 5ft 2in tall, and has been eating this diet for years and taking no exercise to be constantly gaining weight and to weigh anything between 15 and 22 stones.

Aren't you permanently constipated like concrete eating a pound of cheese a day?

MrsClattenburg · 30/03/2026 13:31

A few people seem to be appalled by the 4 egg meal 😮

I had a 4 egg omelette with 40g of cheese yesterday (and TBH I thought that seemed like quite a pile of cheese but not compared to 450g!)

I had been to the gym for 2 hours (cardio and lifting heavy weights) so it didn't really feel that extreme but to eat that and be sedentary, it would have sat in my stomach all morning.

Edwardbear1 · 30/03/2026 13:32

Who can even afford that much cheese 🤯 which one do you buy?

Laurmolonlabe · 30/03/2026 13:32

Far,far too much protein and fat- you are eating a pound of cheese a day, cheese is about 35% that is about 3 times the amount of fat you should have in a day- l would be amazed if you were not overweight with sky high cholesterol. you are satisfying your hunger with fat,and protein - you should satisfy it with carbs-god help your colon.

LostinSpace99 · 30/03/2026 13:32

We're all so shocked by the cheese, but do you also honestly eat 500g of beef in one meal? That's enough meat for 5 people

Edwardbear1 · 30/03/2026 13:33

But did you also add two pork chops and a kg of cheese 🫣

Cordeliasdemonbabies · 30/03/2026 13:23

OP this is a picture of a 6'2" man holding a 6kg bag of cheddar. You eat more than 6kg of cheese a week. Its a catering pack sold to restaurants.

Can you not see how unusual and disordered that is?

No - she 's only(!) eating 3.5kg of cheese a week

But that's still an awful lot of cheese... 😂

21ZIGGY · 30/03/2026 13:35

450g of cheese is both psychotic and impressive.😂

titchy · 30/03/2026 13:36

ivyball · 30/03/2026 13:01

Well no probably not.
This thread has gone the opposite way that I was expecting, I thought my family were being ridiculous so I came to see what others thought.
I thought people were going to tell me I ate really healthy meals or that I should eat more because one meal a day isn’t enough.

Did you genuinely not realise that half a kilo of cheese a day is spectacularly unhealthy?

And why cheddar when there are so many more lovely cheeses to binge on?

Manxexile · 30/03/2026 13:37

olderbutwiser · 30/03/2026 11:16

I nearly fell over at 4 eggs and two pork chops. Then I got to the cheese.

I am 5' 2" and that seems like an insane amount of food to me.

This ^

12 eggs a week and 7 lbs of cheese a week

The cheese alone gives more than enough calories for a sedentary 5' 2" 42 year old. Everything else is excess weight gain!!!

claudiawinklemansfringetrimmer · 30/03/2026 13:37

Between the cheese and the lack of fruit/veg… how on earth do you poo?!

Cordeliasdemonbabies · 30/03/2026 13:38

Oh yeah oops.

Make that over 6kg a fortnight then!

titchy · 30/03/2026 13:39

And there’s very little veg. Loads of protein, loads of fat, no carbs and next to no fruit or veg. How are you not permanently constipated?

Ginmonkeyagain · 30/03/2026 13:39

I'm 5ft 7 and fairly active. Yesterday I ate:

Breakfast - one boiled egg and a slice of brown sourdough toast, an orange, two table spoons of plain greek yoghurt topped with fruit and nut muesli. Cup of tea.

Lunch - Cheese, pastrami and sauerkraut toastie. Cup of green tea. Water.

Pub - three pints of beer

Dinner - Home made pilau rice with peas and smoked mackerel, water, cup of herbal tea, two squares of 80% dark chocolate.

Being the weekend it was a bit more indulgent than usual.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/03/2026 13:39

12 eggs a week is fine, your diet is great for protein.

However I think 2 meals of your chicken or egg meal with the veg is better than 450g of cheese a day

What stands out for me is how little snack or sweet or bad food you’re eating - so well done 👏

All you have to do is eat one extra proper meal and drop 200-300g of the cheddar and you’re golden

ClarasSisters · 30/03/2026 13:41

A pound of cheese a day is nuts!

JLou08 · 30/03/2026 13:42

ivyball · 30/03/2026 12:30

Not active at all, drive to the office and back, then sit on the sofa. Sometimes in summer I get out more.

You're shorter than me, less active amd eating 1000 cals a day more than me. I'm right at the top end of healthy weight, so bordering overweight. I'd be very surprised if you weren't in the obese category. If you're not overweight I'd suggest a GP appointment as you may have an overactive thyroid. If you have been losing weight, I'd say it's very important you see a GP as that could be a sign of serious illness.

Bjorkdidit · 30/03/2026 13:42

A 4 egg omelette with 40 g of cheese is about 4-500 calories so quite a light meal and a perfectly sensible breakfast if you want to eat more earlier in the day.

Although it would probably best served with tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms than 2 pork chops.

LBFseBrom · 30/03/2026 13:43

I think I would drop down dead if I ate that much!

Idontjetwashthefucker · 30/03/2026 13:44

So you asked about weight OP and how much we think someone with this diet would weigh? Are you going to tell us what you weigh?

Ultravox · 30/03/2026 13:44

I really can’t get over the amount of cheese you are eating! It’s really not normal OP.

The Danish are the biggest consumer of cheese per capita with the average person eating 28kg of cheese per year. I calculate that you are eating 165kg of cheese a year 😂
