Missiles can reach UK say Iran

Just heard this in live interview with Defence Secretary.
Apparently they can reach us in 4 hours.
Are they lying??

Why has Israel got against Iran? They've just finished obliterating Gaza and have now started on Iran. Israel seems to be the main threat here.

It's because Iran have sworn to wipe Israel off the earth and if they get nuclear weapons they would be able to do so. So to keep themselves safe, Israel have to prevent that happening every time they get close to manufacturing a nuclear weapon.

I am not sure they have the tech. Iran to UK is ICMB territory, and ICBM tech is near the same as Satellite launch.

True, but Iran had had a decent indigenous medium/intermediate range missile program running for over forty years, they have demonstrated multi-stage IRBMs and they have been working towards a satellite launcher....all that is in the public domain in open sources.

Based on that don't think we can safely rule out they aren't capable of producing something that can perhaps, maybe , in theory, reach western europe carrying not a lot but it would be hard to see how they could set something of the size needed to do that up, fuel it and launch it whilst under the sort of overhead surveillance Iran is almost certainly under ATM..

I wouldn't just be blowing the claims being made as all being down to Israeli propaganda, but I wouldn't be losing sleep over it either.

And what about the ayatollahs and their 9 year old wives?

Israel is a rogue state so anything they say should be taken with an entire vat of salt.

Netanyahu desperately needs to be seen to be acting legitimately in Iran so that we turn a blind eye to their annexing of Lebanon. They'll say anything at this point to get other countries on board.

Iranian-backed terror plots have been thwarted in many European countries and in the uk. I’m not saying that’s reason for us to join the war. Just it’s a bit naive to think, why would they attack us?

And Iran are Hamas’s paymasters.

The regime is appalling but the way this has been done is irresponsible to say the least and isn't going to solve anything. It's made a volatile situation even more dangerous from what I can see.

Are you asking, do they really mean it? I mean, if you were Israel, would you want to sit on your hands while they got nuclear weapons, in order to find out?!

So can Russia's missiles, which are a far bigger concern. Why aren't you raising that?

I sincerely hope we're not getting into false flag territory here. And if 'anyone's' bomb did happen to hit the UK, that we still wouldn't get into their illegal war.

No one really knows. We should hope for the best and prepare for the worst

Why pick U.K.? If they can reach us they can reach a whole bunch of countries in Europe too. France, Germany, Italy. Do you think they specified the U.K. because if we get involved other European Countries will follow?

This. It’s not the first thing they’ve lied about is it? We should not be drawn into yet another illegal war perpetrated by Israel and/or the US. They seem to require a lot of help for two nations that claim to be so powerful don’t they?

I suppose what i mean have they explicitly said, once we have a nuclear bomb we'll drop it on you?. Because you dont really need nuclear to do that, and living nearby would surely negatively impact them

i guess the nuclear threat would allow them more ability to use conventional weapons though, they wouldn’t actually have to nuke their neighbours - as in how Russia has got away with invading Ukraine, because they can threaten nuclear war if we intervene
